Agreed
Team rankings matter much less in basketball/baseball than football. In football they mean everything nowadays.
Basketball is hard because it is the hardest out of the 3 to predict who will leave/stay. I know you know what you are talking about when it comes to LSU sports though.
I got hit pretty hard for saying it, but I dont think Mays is really an absolute take. My position on him is this, if he did not go to UHigh, and had not already committed to LSU he would not be that high in some peoples minds.
I know it could be argued that is the case really for anybody from the state of LA when it comes to LSU, but more so because of UHigh's relative recent history with LSU basketball and our football fans obsession with keeping in state basketball players at LSU.
CJJ really did a better job than even I first thought of turning the roster over and implementing his brand/style of play. His big thing is versatility and it shows looking at our current roster. He is a matchup/ NBA oriented coach that will be great for the Killer B's. But LA outside of a few programs in the state still has a developmental problem where we just do not have the basketball infrastructure in place where a guy like Robert Williams could be a stretch forward or very versatile wing. The rural aspect of the state holds guys like this back which is a shame. If we want to compete on a national level, it is hard to have more give more than 1 or 2 scholarships on developmental/project guys. Mays is for sure very skill, but does not have elite athleticism for a 6'3 combo guard.

I mean, there was a jab in his post but he goes on to provide good (I guess, I am no expert) info about the overall situation and his thoughts.
Refreshing really. And I for one appreciate it.

Basketball recruits typically stick with their original choice unless their is a coaching change.
I don't know much about Williams and how hard LSU was pursuing him. I know there were a few in state forwards we were looking at, but I honestly don't remember any of their names.

LSU just got Stansbury'd again.
That should be a familiar feeling by now.

A typo and not knowing how to use a word correctly are two different things.

Depends on what sites you follow. Williams is a good player, but not the highest guy on LSU's board atm.
