Why is he calling LSU coaches saying he’s interested?

Ineligible for his SR year, but he's huge, athletic, and fast. Elite 5 *. I would be shocked or as shocked as you can be for recruiting if he showed any real interest in Lsu. He's visited A&M about a dozen times in the last year. He committed then make another announcement video months later about committing to A&M. He's taken one OV to A&M and doesn't plan on using anymore. He's actively recruiting for A&M ( see Doyle).
Is anyone actually reporting that he called Lsu?

Rivals mod saying Demas has been calling recently and wanted to start listening to what we were selling earlier this year now about the new offense basically. Doubt it has much legs at all, would probably take major staff changes or something for Demas to back off. Think this is more just offensive recruits seeing the offense this year and showing interest now in general.
The Arik Gilbert thing took everyone by surprise. We weren't supposed to even be in it, but because of how we use TEs now it sealed him up for us.

Shea's wrap is nice but the 247 guys hold back info for guys committed to other schools so recruiting efforts dont get messed up. If there was movement with Demas you wouldn't hear about it until the final day of a flip.

Yeah, that's a possibility. I know BOL mods hold back some things that they're aware of.

If Orgeron did something like this, especially given the relationship that Demas' coaching staff and academic influencers have, LSU would be blacklisted from every school in Houston except for North Shore.
