There's more to "killing it" in recruiting than sending out fake hype tweets about how "lit" everything is and how you're "makin moves".

Welcome to Norman, Mr. White.

He was probably undersized for the SEC grind, but TX high schools don't exactly produce talented LBers like they used to. He'll be adequate for the okies, but it's not like they play defense either.

When a recruit is committed: "Yessir!! #GigemGang18 #BEAST"

When that recruit flips: "He wasn't SEC caliber. He's a better fit for the BIG XII anyway"

Consider the mediocre LB talent in TX high schools he is a definite take, but thete a reason he isn't ranked in the top 30 or 40 in state rankings. SEC LBers are in the 235-250 range, big 12 LBers are in the 215-230 range.

He's 6'1 221 as a high school senior, which is actually pretty dang good size. Plenty of time to add size to that too.

Do you really think most SEC LBs come in at like 6'3 240 as true freshmen?

The Butkus winner plays in the SEC and he's barely 225lbs. Four pounds heavier than White (who's still in HS).

Mike backers might weigh that much after a couple of seasons in a S&C program but no, all SEC LBers aren't 235-250.

And for the record, our Mike backer this year was a freshman. He weighs 242 lbs.

White was torn between OU and A&M from the get-go. He liked OU, his mom was big on A&M and really like the Aggie alumni network to help graduates after they graduate and it being closer to home. His heart won out in the end.

He is ranked right outside the top 100 prospects. Wish Bama would offer him,

This is OUs main linebacker recruit. We are possibly going to get the linebacker from Mater dai California he’s a top 100 guy. OU is also trying to flip a long time commit Leon O’Neal from A@M. We need him because we missed out in three stud safeties. Our talent on defense is increasing but we are still 3-4years away to have depth like Bama and UGA....we may never have that kind of depth but atleast these recruits are seeing the field early at OU

White is bigger than all but 2 of ur current linebackers and 15-20 lbs bigger than Dodson and Alaka were at the same age.

Players weigh what they need to based on position & system. OU & TX has much bigger LB’s than TAMU.

The SEC grind & TX HS kids don’t play defense is pure loser rhetorics

The 2016 Butkus winner was also in the SEC and weighed 228.

Jerry Schmidt was told to look elsewhere for a job (fired) on January 5th after a final altercation with Lincoln Riley as well as several incidents with players and asst. coaches over the last summer. Enjoy!
