He's a raw route runner, but I believe got a big boost in the ratings after a recent camp.

If you watch his Junior highlights, the catch and run from about 1:05 to about 1:17 made me an instant believer when I saw the video a week or so ago. 6'6" isn't supposed to be able to outrun and pull away from folks like that. Hasn't been playing football for very long. May not be a big time player as a college freshman, but the upside is through the roof.

Every 40 time claimed by a recruit is about .2-.3 lower than what it would be under combine timing. Derunnya Wilson's profile says 4.56 as a recruit and he ran about 4.8 at the combine, I doubt he got slower. Jarvis Landry's 247 profile as a recruit says 4.55, he ran a 4.77 at the combine. Laquon Treadwell's recruiting profile says 4.40, he ran a 4.64.

I don't think they are outright lying, it's just the standard hand/laser timed difference.

Watching his film, he's a 4.5 guy. I'll take 4.5 at 6'6"

Some of that has to do with added weight as well. They come to college 170lbs and skinny then add in 30lbs of muscle you are going to slow down for sure but you have to add the weight as you grow

The results the last 8 seasons say Bama recruits overall are not overrated unless you are willing to say Saban has taken a bunch of overrated scrubs to 4 titles in 7 season.

I hope he can help out at BB too. What are the chances he is a pure shooter?

He is actually a stud pitcher. High 90's fastball. Y'all's biggest issue with him is whether or not he goes the MLB route when he is drafted in the 1st round.

We were looking at him as well and he visited us this spring (for football and baseball). Wish we could have had a chance with him.
