My god this would be a MASSIVE pull for Drink.
We may finish with a top 10 class if he can pull this off which is absolutely unbelievable. We’ve never even had a coach that could recruit in the top 25

Have seen the same, but was going to leave it alone. Likely same source. Poster with strong credibility, though as with anything recruiting, a silent is still nothing until they've signed anything. I wouldn't be surprised to still see some twists here, despite the confidence that has been expressed.
ETA: disagree with honcho's approach here, regardless of the validity or not.

At least if he is gonna say Luther has silently committed in the recruiting thread, he should have to post his source on it. Just imo.

Not saying he won’t end up at Georgia although the majority of predictions since he decommitted have been Mizzou, but “silent commits” is the biggest line of bullshite in message board recruiting history. It’s not a real thing

One of the most credible Mizzou sources is saying Burden has committed to MU, and at his commitment ceremony he is planning to pick up and then toss a UGA hat before proclaiming "Kirby Smart is a bitch" and then putting on the Mizzou hat. Just what I'm hearing, don't shoot the messenger

Ok, I will re-phrase since I came across as an arse. A poster with inside sources who has only been wrong once says he silently committed last week. In addition, Rusty Mansell said last night he is a dawg.

Depends on what you think it means. Does it mean that a kid is definitely going to a school? If so, then no... it's not a real thing. As I said, until they sign, nothing in recruiting is a sure thing... ever. Even then, things happen (Zach Evans signed with UGA before we "let" him out of his LOI, read: AD forced)
What it means in reality is that a kid has indicated to a staff that they want to reserve a space in the class. Usually when you have multiple staffs that feel very confident, it's because the kid has indicated to more than one staff that they want a place in that class.
Functionally, it's the equivalent of "save me a seat" IMHO. It's an indicator, but hardly definitive in most cases.

I'm reading between the lines here since I'm not the one that posted it, but given his follow up, it's a poster on another UGA board who has been exceptionally accurate in the past. We know that he has actual connections within the program today. But it's not a guy who CBs recruits so "posting his source" wouldn't exactly do much for you FWIW.

I’m not saying kids don’t do that, but this super secret silent commit thing just doesn’t happen. Kids do indicate where they are going before they go public, but once they do it always leaks and that’s why you normally see a flood of CBs right before a big time recruit commits.

Okay. So what do you want from us? Neither Fibonocci nor I brought this to the board. Another Georgia fan said Burden was a silent and we merely said that another plugged in guy said that.
