Jeff Thomas listed his top six. Alabama, Michigan State, Florida State, Auburn, Texas A&M and Mizzou

Pretty quiet recruitment so far, but East STL is a really good pipeline school for us.

He's actually JUCO bound, but we'll be in it until the end.

Yup, few qualify. It's a dreadful school district. lots of good football players though.

We had a 4* RB from there who dropped out at semester, got his GED and then completed JUCO in 1 calendar year. He'll be here for fall camp. He'll have 4 to play 3.

Thomas could take a similar path.

Everyone said the same thing about BJ Emmons and Eddie Lacy. Bama will find a way.

How does the fact that the school was closed for most of the fall semester effect him? I'm not sure when or if the teachers ever came back, but does a kid get screwed because teachers walked out?

Eddie Lacy getting qualified was an act of God. Houston Nutt backed off of him because of grades. Think about that.

Eddie Lacy qualified 7 years ago. Get over it.

Not saying he is wrong, but this was from 4 weeks ago:

quote:

Tide on top for 4-star WR

Jeff Thomas, a 4-star prospect from East Saint Louis, Ill., told Hank South of 247Sports.com that Alabama is still on top for him. Thomas tried to commit to Alabama several weeks ago on an unofficial visit but was turned down. The Crimson Tide staff would like to see Thomas improve his academics before accepting him.

If Thomas does so, it’s very possible he’ll be a part of the Crimson Tide class this fall.

I too was surprised when I saw that. But cusumano is the go to man in st louis for recruiting news. Also two weeks ago was Mizzous big recruiting night that Thomas was there for.

With that being said, I think he's Bamas but that quote differently mixed thoughts up.
