If I had to guess I'd say he's talking about Jacob Copeland.

Can't unfortunately, out of left field though. Will be made public tonight.

Seems like the coaching hires have really panned out so far.
UF killed it this weekend with FNL.

It's not Jacob Copeland

Copeland is basically a commit right now, he's just got to make a video for his commitment. It's a matter of time on hin

How do you have this secret information that nobody else has?
Posted on 7/23/17 at 3:24 pm to DeboseKnows
The Florida staff knows, just letting the kid do his thing.

How can anybody say with certainty if he has or has not panned out. And what does landing an elite quarterback have to do with Feleipe?
One would think you'd have an idea by now if he was your future.

Nobody said "has Eason not panned out?" When UGA took Fromm last year??
No, because Eason actually beat out the transfer for the starting job. Franks was highly touted enough that many thought he could do the same, yet most reports anyone saw indicated he wasn't what you were expecting.
It was an honest question.

Franks had to organize and run his own high school practices. He had no outside QB coaching until the Elite 11. Kid has elite physical traits, a big fricking heart, and the desire to lead a team, but he was beyond raw. I don't know who you talked to that thought he would be an immediate contributor, but they obviously knew very little about his hs background.
I figured he would red shirt and then we'd have to stick it out for a year while he grew into the offense.

You're telling us that Coach Klees and his staff that have won 97 games over a 10 year period and played for 2 state championships can't organize and run his own practices? This sounds like bullshite.

I don't know about the organize and run his own practice stuff, but I do know that he was labeled as a kid that, if he is able to pick up the offense and develops the intangibles, has the physical skill set to be one of the best quarterbacks in the country. You can't teach his size and you can't teach his arm. The staff is trying to teach him how to bring all of that together to become a good quarterback. I would say judging from his spring game performance from year 1 to year 2, he has taken steps in the right direction.
It is unknown to what extent he has developed into an SEC quarterback. I think the general consensus is that he has improved. No one has anointed him starter or back up for the Michigan game or the rest of the season. shite, they haven't even started fall practice of his redshirt freshman year. Anybody saying that he is the next great one or the next in a long line of QB busts is full of shite.

Literally nobody thought this. Like seriously, no one thought Franks would play a down last year. Eason beating out the transfer was a decision Georgia made between going 5-7 with Lambert or 7-5 with Eason.
It's fair to say that Franks is the quarterback of the future. We don't know if he or Zaire is starting this year. Assuming it's Zaire starting against Michigan, I would be shocked if Franks didn't play a considerable amount with his role expanding as the season progresses and if he plays well

Well, you were coming off Treon Harris and had Del Rio coming in, so I feel like a few people probably did. I know y'all were excited when you got him and I had seen some discussion about whether or not he might take on the starting role at some point (assuming Del Rio was bad). I mean, seriously, we have people on our side contemplating Fromm surpassing Eason on the depth chart, so there was/is somebody.
That said, I don't guess I ever realized he was that raw. He was 247's 5th ranked pro-style QB, so not sure how he got there based on "he's really tall and can throw far". There's plenty of kids out there who can fit into that description and who aren't ranked nearly that high.
