LSU is still a long shot for several reasons based on what I know. He was committed to Penn State at one time but decommitted due to distance. LSU is not as far away as Penn State, but it significantly farther than the other schools he is considering like Georgia, Florida State, and Auburn.
His step mom seems to want him at Georgia because he has a sister or step sister going there. The dad seems to like FSU because they have had 3 quarterbacks become first round draft picks in recent years
The kid himself grew up as an fan or admirer of Cam Newton which is part of the reason Auburn is on his list

I think we (LSU) are definitely fighting an uphill battle, but our biggest positives right now is two freshmen QBs are starting at FSU and UGA now, his supposed top 2 schools. Getting this visit is definitely helping as we can sell him on immediate playing time.

Why would he want to go to auburn and have losing seasons. Auburn paid to get cam so what other QB have you had plays in the NFL right now?

Since we still have the trophy, the people who matter obviously don't care about your shitty opinion
Not that I necessarily believe this kid is going to Auburn.

How stupid are you bowl jackass? Kids can play anywhere with a good coach and make it to the NFL. We have a good OC now and i think its scary how good Fields could be in this offense. Especially with the talent he would have all around him. Les is gone my brotha!

That shite is about to end real soon baw....we have a coach and OC who actually want a diverse offensive attack. We can offer early playing time and arse loads of talent all around him. I salivate thinking about Fields in Canada's O

Shut the frick up. You bring nothing to this discussion or any other for that matter

All schools are not equal. The kid and his family seem to value closeness to home and schools who put quarterbacks in the NFL.
LSU is clearly behind Georgia, FSU, and Auburn on closeness to home.
I don't know Matt Canada well enough to know his track record of putting quarterbacks in the NFL
Closeness to home favors Georgia
Putting quarterbacks in the NFL or being drafted by the NFL has favored Florida State
The best thing LSU has going for it is the opportunity to play as a freshman since Eitling is a senior. That could win out. We will see.

You might want to check AU and LSU's respective records since Gus became the head coach at AU.
If you don't want to they are pretty much identical and AU has an SEC title and title game appearance to show for their efforts. LSU, I think they won the Belk Bowl one year.

As of this instant if he doesn't go to UGA I am rooting for him to go to LSU. Imagine Fromm vs Fields in the SECCG, it would be one to remember. Not to mention him and Fromm beating that barner arse.

It'll be nice when we get Fields, but he's a luxury for us, not a necessity. Not only is Gatewood turning out to be as much of a stud as was thought when he originally committed, but we also dug up a big time diamond in Malik Willis.
Anyway, now that AU already owns LSU (not that they have a shot with Fields anyway, it's honestly laughable and their fanbase is hilariously delusional per usual, but I'll entertain the ridiculous notion for the sake of this hypothetical) and order is being restored in the DSOR with UGA's luck streak coming to an end and Auburn about to go on a long run against the dawgs, it would be hilarious to watch the melts in BR and Athens as the 3* polished Michael Vick, Malik Willis AKA the next Day Prescott 3* diamond in the rough turned future NFL ROY, lead Auburn to blowout victories over your teams with top QB prospects
PS. I realize that sentence was a mess. I don't care. It's 3am and you get the point, AUBURN STACKED & YOUR TEAMS ARE frickED

Auburn sucks and you barely beat an ancient Les Miles offense by half a second. You are about to get destroyed by Clemson and you will finish 8-4.

Enjoy this delusion while you can. Only a few more hours until we smash Clemson and reality sets in that we are coming to blow out LSU next. After Auburn is 2-0 in Death Valleys this season, including a statement vs LSU then reality will set in even harder that you're stuck with Ed Orgeron driving your program into the ground for at least a few more years.
Not sure why you're here anyway. It's cool that y'all got a visit, but Fields is just having fun. He's not seriously considering LSU. No matter what happens, there's not a chance LSU lands Fields. It's cute y'all are getting your hopes up but there's less than 0% chance Justin Fields will play for LSU. Y'alls threads on the LSU recruiting board are hilarious reading though "25% and rising"

Bookmark this, when Fields makes his decision LSU won't even have a hat on the table. So save yourself from having to eat some crow later on and just leave now before you say something dumb or worse, start to believe you have a shot.

I stated earlier in this thread that I didn't believe we would get Fields so I guess reading comprehension is tough for you. Before you say, "This is a super long thread how would you expect me to see that" it was literally 2 pages ago. I'm just here purely for entertainment and gotta say you are providing.
Our "Threads on the recruiting board", There is one thread on Justin Fields and it doesn't have that many post on it. Only person creating delusion is yourself.
Stidham wasn't impressive against Georgia Southern. 0-2 in the Death Valley's, 8-4 for the season.
