I think BHH, Fulky, Aidoo, Nkamhoua will be the 4 bigs that play unless we add another big from the portal.
Makes sense -- Nkamhoa realizing how much potential he has and consistently playing like it would be big for us. I'm rooting for him to put it together this year. Do you think BHH switches in between the 4 and 5 or ends up as an athletic slightly undersized 5 in college?

All that for a 2nd round exit

Dude looks like he's at least 30 years old.

I just laid it out above. No inside presence for the last several years has been our downfall.
Wat?
Pons was all SEC defensive team this year and Fulkerson was all SEC last year. And 2 years ago you had Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield.
That is as good as most teams have not named Kentucky, and maybe better than Kentucky.

From the team who just made it past the 2nd weekend for the first time since 96. The hypocrisy is delicious
Pigs have lost 4 out of the last 5 to 2nd rd Rick and have zero SEC Championships in over 2 decades

Pons is a 6’6 SF. Grant was a 6’7 SF/PF. Schofield was a 6’5 SG/SF.
Fulkerson was just really bad this past season and if teams shut him down there was literally no one else that could score inside.

The issue in Tennessee lately hasn’t been the recruiting...
I believe the big issue has been the lack of a big body and has been mentioned in this thread a couple of times. Getting a PF and Cshould go towards addressing this. Kinda the point of the excitement in this thread....

Yes. Both lack of PG and big men recruiting were definitely the weak point of the last 2 teams. Both looked to be addressed in this class. But they’re going to be freshmen with 2 1 and done guys so I’m not convinced yet.

Pons short of his defensive performances and Fulkerson in general were perhaps the 2 biggest disappointments on the team this year. Rebounding and front court offensive production was non existent at times. In particular in key moments of big games. I thought Fulkerson would hold serve and Pons would take the next step offensively and neither came to fruition.
We've lacked a mix of quality depth and explosiveness in our bigs for the last 2 seasons. Fulk was great 2 years ago, but had no help. We've missed evaluations or were forced to settle on multiple bigs in the last few classes. This incoming class mixed with what's returning will been the most promising front court on paper since Rick has been in Knoxville.
