I clearly said the tweet is not the issue, its the timing of Kirby tweeting it and the way it reflects on him, particularly in the eyes of AU faithful - which now includes OP. If it was a tweet about roquan and only roquan, your take on the timing might seem more reasonable, but that’s not what it was.
If it was tweeted directly to Owen, your take would be reasonable, but that’s also not what it was.
If the draft was in March, your take might be reasonable, but it was just the other day.

Which is pretty much everyone who follows recruiting except UGA homers. And for AU recruits, like OP, AU homers do matter.

So are you taking the position now that Kirby’s tweet was not related to OPs announcement in any form or fashion, and mere coincidence? It was Tuesday night by the way - 4 days after those guys were drafted.

Okay well how about this, everyone who follows recruiting that is not a UGA fan, is probably not going to be wearing the tinted goggles that everything Kirby does is rainbows and ponies. Even if a Nebraska fan disagrees with my take, he could probably understand the point I’m making.

The other LB targets part is critical to the purpose of that tweet. You can't just ignore that part when discussing whether it was a good idea or not.

The drafted ended on sat. The tweet about 6 players was coming this week with or without Pappoe having an announcement ceremony. The tweet was also coming no matter who he picked, which means it wasn’t tweeted at that time just because Owen picked AU.

Flip it. If they aren’t so incredibly biased against uga, they won’t have anti-red glasses on that leads them to think everything Kirby does is awful. You don’t seem to understand that you are aligning with 2 of the most unreasonable uga haters the internet knows.
