Looks like he isn't happy about Cristobal leaving. Was a close A&M/Oregon battle initially and Texas trying to get in the mix. Will be one to watch for sure over the next few days, he's a stud.

That would easily put the 2022 class in range of #1, assuming all commitments hold and we get one of the other top prospects.

Don't lose to Arkansas next year!

Stupid to publicize what you are paying. You don't think Aggies will pay a top recruit $75,000/yr and top them?

Texas likes to cook the books and brag about how much money they have but I’m pretty sure A&M boosters have deeper pockets.

A&M booster more committed to football. Look at the Coaching hires.

Banks rumored to be at A&M this weekend. If so, he is ours. And Texas NIL announcement is pathetic. Not even close to what a five star makes

I don't know why UT boosters felt the need to advertise their NIL commitments. Very stupid move tbh. They think it's good publicity, but in reality it's like showing your cards at the poker table to all of your rivals.

Would be absolutely absurd if he goes to A&M. That’s an awesome class.

Is there a link to this announcement?

ETA: I found it. I really really dislike where CFB is headed sadly.

How will Bama hoard all the 5*'s if aTm signs them all? Will the recruiting boards rerank Bama's 4*'s?

That was the beginning of the end for Mack Brown. Kids became 4 and 5 Stars because they were going to Texas not because of what they were doing on the field. The bigger issue was he went really early in recruiting and locked up kids as Juniors and a lot of them got entitled or had disappointing Sr years.

We get it, we are laughing at you thinking a $150k floor is supposed to be impressive. The thing that matters is not that you pay everyone it is can you get the difference maker studs and they likely cost a lot more.

I remember that shite. We have Geoff Ketchum and a few other longhorn homers to thank for that.

I forgot to mention Bobby Burton also had a hand in ruining Mack Brown with over-inflated recruiting rankings. He had a much larger hand in it than fat ketch.

I remember hearing something like this from the Austin radio guys. Mack would identify OL recruits by like their sophomore year of HS and stick with them regardless how the rest of their HS careers played out.

And they would keep their high rankings even when they didn't come close to deserving them. It ruined Mack Brown, but he was partly to blame.
