Clay Webb is a want. Would love to have him but pulling him from Bama is unlikely.

Pittman keeps getting mentioned as if Alabama doesn’t have elite recruiters, early playing time, and a long history of development along the OL.

And, you know, that Clay continues to say his best relationship with any coach is Brent Key.

Pittman’s class last year was insane. It’s why a lot of UGA fans are confident in his ability to recruit. We also pulled Isaiah Wilson the year prior. He’s been possibly the best recruiter in the nation on the OL. That said, taking a kid from the state of Bama that you guys want is
highly unlikely. That said, if anyone has an outside shot at this point it’s UGA even if no one will admit it.

An OL coach and recruiter that needs to start being mentioned among the best in the business.

Brent Key isn’t too shabby. I think you might have saw one or two of those young OL in Atlanta.
And Key is still only 38 years old.

Alabama and UGA fans not mentioning the silent assassin lurking on the lake to the east? Hoping yal duke it out with each other and he ends up in Orange ala what Alabama and Auburn did with Justyn Ross last year.
That turned out alright for us!

Bama's QB situation is what landed Ross for you.

Lol, what?
Bama has one of the better QB situations in the nation.
We got Ross, because Jeff Scott picks the WR he wants each year and he signs that guy, pretty much end of story.
I'll never be overly confident with an OL recruit against UGA and Bama. Those are likely the two best OL recruiting programs in the nation, but Webb is the top guy on our board regardless of position. Gonna be a fun battle to the end between three juggernauts!
Back to the OP, though, Webb is the best OL in the country, period. You could argue some being ranked higher bc of tackle being a higher ranked position, but Webb is the best center prospect in a long long time. He's gonna be an absolute rock for someone from day one.

We all know Bama has had dominant lines. We are just excited we have a guy getting the job done for us finally.

True. It's either Bama or Auburn for Webb. He's not leaving the state.

Ross is at Alabama if Josh Gattis was recruiting him.

Has he even visited more than once?

quote:Hardly. Bama lost any shot at any number of WRs because of last year's QB. Even some of the WRs on the team considered transferring because of Hurts. After the NC game with Tua, Bama got another shot with Ross, but it was too late then. If Tua had been QB, Ross would have likely been Bama's.

Hey, I think we are in it, but I don't think we will get him. I think we have a better chance than Auburn does, but in the end Alabama gets him.
I hope I am wrong and we actually have a good chance, but I honestly think it is 75% Alabama, 20% Georgia, 5% Auburn.

Alabama insiders certainly think Webb has interest in UGA. I’m sure they are confident because he’s committed to them but the best you can hope for is visits. Just like people are doing with our commits.
