Why? A&M has a better engineering school than Vandy.

As an engineer and with a bother and sister-in-law as A&M engineers the most important quality in an engineering school are the professors and your relationship with them to make it easier for you to learn the material. All engineering schools with ABET accreditation teach the same material and teach to the same standard at the BS level. For example the same dynamics you learn in a public school is the same dynamics you learn in private school. There is nothing special about F=ma from a private school versus F=ma from a public school. The meaning does not change. The only thing that might be different is the teaching rigor of the teacher. The material is the same if it meets the ABET standard.

If a prospective student was seeking a successful engineering program the metric that I would look for are the first time PE exam passing rates for each school. I can guarantee you that the schools with the higher passing rates have more student engaged professors.

I can only assume at this point that Nakobe will commit to UGA then decommit a month or so later.

That is probably somewhat true across the board. Profs that care and can teach material effectively are important.

Then when you have higher standards so you get candidates that already have higher than average intelligence and work ethic (as a whole, there are always exceptions) which make it easier to teach to.

A&M went all this weekend for Dean. Apparently, the engineering department was heavily involved in the official.

He'll be in Tuscaloosa this weekend.

And Alabama leads for him.

Saban has a Benz dealership and Mercedes is a sponsor of Alabama football. Think we can match.

Lol why the frick would any ILB pick UGA over Alafrickingbama? If you start for Alabama at ILB, you’re going first round.

Why don't you ask Quay Walker?

What would Quay Walker know about being an ILB?

Kirby flipped 2 of your top recruits in 2018, one at ILB and one at safety. Walker will be our starting ILB next year. I wish Nadab Joseph made the grades.

You'll never know what will happen in recruiting between these two schools with both pretty much guaranteed to be in Atlanta for the next 3+ years.

No, he didn't.

He wouldn't have been an ILB at Alabama. He was recruited to play outside.

Perhaps. What about Monty Rice?

The Alabama staff knew he wasn't going to and told him they were not going to allow him to sign early. As we all know now, Joseph's camp gave multiple transcripts to both schools to trick them into believing he would be eligible. You say you "stole" him. I say we dodged a bullet.

Absolutely. It's going to be fun to watch.

“With the 8th pick in the 2018 draft, the Chicago Bears select...”

He might play some outside, but as far as I know that (ILB) is what he was listed as last season and where he is playing for us right now. I mean, he is not starting or getting much playing time right now, but that's his position...or at least it was, unless they switched him.

Doesn't mean he isn't an ILB. Just means Alabama wasn't going to use him that way, right? I mean he was listed as an ILB, and is playing at ILB, so I think it's safe to call him an ILB. That could be one reason he chose us over Alabama. (I don't know, really.)

We play a 3-4....two ILB's. I don't know if Walker will be starting or not, though. To early, but he could be.

Nope.

2018 OLB Rankings

He played on the edge in high school, not inside.
