Mizzou, LSU, Florida, Arkansas along with OU and USC
OU likely the team to beat here
Probably a long shot for us, but our new DB coach Aaron Fletcher has a very strong relationship with him and one of his best friends is a FR WR at Mizzou. 4* JJ Hester
I can say this, recruiting is a hell of a lot more interesting with Drink at the helm than Odom.

Sounds like an OU/Arkansas battle with Oklahoma the heavy odds on favorite.

What’s the Arkansas connection?

Pittman is from Oklahoma and has made Oklahoma a huge priority for us. We signed 5 guys from there in this most recent class including Keuan Parker who was teammates with Gentry this year. We’ve been on Gentry since Pittman was hired so there’s a long relationship there.
I highly doubt we beat out OU but if we have a significant jump in record this year then anything is possible if he wants to leave the state. Tulsa is about 2 hours from Fayetteville so they can “leave the state” but still drive home and back to do laundry and see mom on Sunday which has always made it an attractive option for the Tulsa kids like Gentry.

I trust Raymond. He sees big potential here. Any chance he plays corner in HS this year? I know like many elite high school athletes he has played QB for the team.

It’s pretty huge just to get top 6 consideration from a 5 star out of stater. How often has that happened?
Get Sam Horn on the job.

Never paid any attention to recruiting. Now I'm looking around thinking "So this is what you all were yammering about!"

I read this morning that he has a really good relationship with Raymond and loves what he’s done with secondary. Raymond is recruiting him to play cornerback.

We are recruiting him at corner also. I read an article earlier where he said he was going to be playing more WR than QB on offense this year.

Do you have info/links or just your opinion?

He’s from Oklahoma and has a 100% crystal ball prediction for OU. It’s not hard to connect that dots that he’s going there. OU doesn’t usually lose instate kids they want.

And what about the LSU part of his prediction?
Posted on 3/11/21 at 8:22 am to TheCheshireHog
I understand the OU side, I was more questioning the LSU part of the statement.

My sauce said the kid actually loves LSU and loves what Corey Raymond is selling him on, but says it’s gonna be near impossible to steer him away from OU.

Kid loves LSU and we actually where neck and neck with OU early on, but as time passes the in state school always pulls away in the end

6. Gentry Williams (No. 3 Ath, No. 37 natl. – Tulsa, OK) – Dropped a top-6 of Arky, Florida, LSU, Mizzou, Oklahoma, & USC back in February 2021. In an interview with S. Wiltfong, he went a step further by revealing a pecking order of (i) LSU, (ii) OU, & (iii) USC within his six (6) finalists.
