From Rivals...
HOW DOES CALLAWAY FIT IN?
At 6-foot-2, 185-pound Callaway has the size to help right away, but what separates him from others and has him included in the final Rivals100 is his athletic ability. Callaway's speed and athleticism was on display at the Army All-American as he showed out at cornerback even though he's been pegged as a receiver at the next level.
Callaway has to continue to develop his route running ability, but all the natural tools are there for him to be a contributor in the SEC. But, he shows enough natural skills on the offensive side of the ball to make an early impact because of his speed.
That could come sooner rather than later at Tennessee with the Vols losing Von Pearson,Jonathan Johnson and Marquez North. That has left the Vols with only six returning scholarship wide receivers from the 2015 team and only four that caught a pass this past season.
Callaway is joining Jeff George, who is already on campus and will go through spring practice, Corey Henderson and Brandon Johnson and all four will have the opportunity to see the field this fall.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR TENNESSEE?
With four wide receivers now committed, or enrolled in George's case, with the Vols, Tennessee is likely done at the wide receiver position.
But, Alabama wide receiver Velus Jones has been a prospect the Vols have coveted for a while and even though Tennessee has four in the fold, if the numbers work out they could add him as well.
Tennessee is still set to host Mykel Jones this weekend with Ahmmon Richards expected on campus the final weekend, so you never say never as the Vols could add a fifth wideout depending on what happens at other positions, particularly the defensive line.
SCOUTING REPORT ON CALLAWAY
Now we turn to Rivals.com Southeast Recruiting Analyst Woody Wommack for an in-depth look at Callaway::
"Callaway is a long, tall versatile athlete and you can see that translating to the next level as a wide receiver or defensive back. We had a chance to see him in San Antonio at the Army All-American Game against some of the top athletes in the country and he more than held his own while playing defensive back. While I think his higher ceiling is on the defensive side of the ball, with his ball skills and his speed I can see him being an impact player on offense as well.

Good get. Will be interesting to follow his career to see if he makes an impact at the collegiate level. "Heart for the game" isn't something you want to be questioned about coming out of high school.

It will be interesting to see. Callaway is a superb athlete from everything that's been posted and apparently, Butch wanted Callaway instead of Benjamin Victor or Velus Jones. According to VQ, Victor wanted to commit to Tennessee earlier in the week and was told no because the spot was saved for Callaway. Hope this one works out.

Interesting, I wanted him but he got absolutely locked down when I saw him in person. Decent defensive back, though. I doubt he's ever a difference maker at WR in the SEC, especially if he wasn't in high school...

Had a good All-Star gm. Like JJ I think he get's first shot on O but eventually lands on the other side of the 'ball. Really depends on the development (and health) of a few receivers like Perry for instance

I think he ends up on D. I just don't see Coach Z coaching him up at WR. But I could be wrong.
