so basically every committed player isn't committed. Almost all committed players are constantly hearing their options right up until they sign.
We are talking a lot about semantics here. But I could make a pretty good argument that any committed players who is still looking at other options isn't actually committed.
I get most players do it. And they should. But relating to this case, I'd say fully pushing back your signing day to 'evaluate options' is a bit more than just hearing another coach out in September.

Man if he sticks with LSU and TAMU can't pull him after their best season in years that's saying something. Dude is like Waddle.
He's very good, but I would tap the "like Waddle" brakes.
Usually, you see the recruiting bump the year after. Meaning LSU's big year in 2019 should help the 2021 class. A&M's 2020 should help more so in 2022. Of course, it makes some impact on the current class, but I'd say negative seasons have a more immediate hit. Just my perspective following for the last 15 years (gross).

There is a difference in still taking calls and going on visits in Oct vs doing it in Dec when you can actually sign and end the process.

Well, if it makes LSU fans feel any better (/s) then Earle has recently been the subject of much discussion on the A&M sites, when speculation was shot down by moderators within minutes in the prior months. Suddenly he has emerged as a very real possibility, though many believe TCU holds the lead at this time.
A&M will be a player for him. As will TCU, OU, and several other schools. There are many who are connected that believe he ends up elsewhere than LSU at this point. But not de-committed. Not yet, at least.

I want to see that '22 TAMU clean up in the state of Texas and those kids quit going to Ohio State

Me too...
But you can't take em all even if you wanted. Jimbo & his staff do a real nice job going all over the country. Take his last 3 classes and compare them to the last 30 years. I'd bet Jimbo has more highly rated OOS guys.

Me too. But Ohio State already has some of the best committed already. However, it should be a great year for A&M, one of the best in recent memory when it comes to recruiting.

Again huge difference in saying "evaluating options" while being committed and "REOPENING RECRUITMENT". Reopening recruitment basically means decommitted, Earle is not decommitted right now. The OP was intentionally misleading with the thread title.

So you think he signs with A&M?

He might sign with A&M. I think the better question is does he sign with LSU? I would be wary of any recruit that is not "signing" on Wednesday when that was the original plan. Unless they are announcing at an all-star game

I jotted piece of advice that down on a piece of toilet paper.

I don’t think we’re the favorites. I think he’s undecided at this point.

Re-opening almost always is saying decommitted, he's not decommitted, just checking out final options before the next signing day. Pretty big difference.
Bruh it means he hasn’t decided yet. You can call it committed but we’re gonna have to recruit him to hang on.
Here we go. This is where O earns his check.

Are you seriously crying about me using "Reeopening Recruitment" vs "re-evaluating his options"?
Do please share all the major differences between the two.
It's the same difference in using their, there, they're. It's how rumors get started

It’s not a rumor. He literally pushed back his signing to evaluate his options.

Posted on 12/15/20 at 5:36 pm to Nissanmaxima
I don't think A&M gets him, but it's hard to say he's an LSU commit when he has the option and ability to sign with LSU this week but, according to him, will not be doing so, because he wants to "re-evaluate."
In what sense is he committed to LSU at this point?
