The next 5 or so Texas recruits are going to blow some minds. The Arch Effect is going to have a lot bigger impact than anyone estimated.

We've felt good about Mitchell for awhile, but have been hearing that he might be leaning in another direction right now.

Jamaal Jarrett is our #1 priority for now, but we wanted Mitchell, too. Maybe we can persuade him back to us. Still a long way to go and I would hate to miss on him. He's really good and whoever gets him will have a good one.

Can't imagine Arch having an affect on Mitchell. WRs and offensive players...but not a DLineman. Just good recruiting is making the difference with Mitchell.

In regards to Mitchell I'd agree.

This is for Ringo! That was the most painful head to head I've ever felt. Georgia is always gonna recruit top defensive players.

I hate missing on him too, but he’s a want not a need as long as we land Jarrett. Plus it looks like we have higher rated DL on our board that we’re in a good spot to land.

Also hearing NIL is playing a major role in his recruitment.

We do very well on the defensive side of the ball. I'm excited to be seeing Oklahoma and Texas in the SEC. There is a lot of trolling going on, but i think both teams will make it a more exciting conference.

I have no problem with that. It's a part of the game today and perfectly legal. (I think you probably feel the same, but I see a lot of posters mentioning NIL as if it is still somehow a bad or dirty thing)

One interesting tidbit ... about Mitchell was the Bergen Catholic big man posting “Not gonna lie, let’s do it” on an Instagram live shortly after Johntay Cook’s announcement featuring five-star Texas commits Derek Williams and Johntay Cook along with Texas commit Tre Wisner.

Mike spoke with Mitchell after his Texas official visit two weeks ago and the New Jersey native had this to say about his time in Austin.

“The visit went really well. I got to spend time with coach Sarkisian, coach Flood and coach Bo Davis,” he said. “I also got to hang with some of the recruits and current players and we all had a real good time. One of my favorite parts was breaking down film with coach Davis he’s real intense and has a history of producing pros at my position, so I can learn a lot from him. The city of Austin is amazing too.”

When asked about what would be the factors for his college decision Mitchell had this to say.

“Depth chart, style of play and being able to play more than one position on the Dline,” he said. “I’d also say opportunities after football too.”

Bo Davis is a very good coach. Mitchell will learn a lot from him and do well.

That said, you shouldn't consider this a closed deal! We'll still be trying to flip him, I'm sure!

Sure, as long as you acknowledge it goes both ways.

Mitchell will be a good one.

Absolutely zero chance Arch manning lives up to the hype, I’ll go out and say he will never start a CFP game.

I get he might be overhyped a bit. But he is still very good. He'll do well....he just might not be the #1 player in the country or even the #1 QB in this class. But he's good. Just guessing I would say he probably should be a mid to high 4 star guy.
