I gotcha! So your explanation is that your team dominated CFB in the recent past (which is how different from your quote above?). Which I will not argue with you had great success. Yet the team that beat you last year, returns more starters off that team this year and actually upped their game recruiting isn't the best team out there currently?
Also are you taking into account that other programs are learning from your recent past success and catching up to your team. Sure looks that way to me. Please stick your head in the sand some more. Maybe use a tired and used up meme to illustrate your point. I will stop posting now and read all of the plausible explanations how Bama is currently the best team in the country bar none and how dare anyone debate it!

Dear God, you are still Ole Miss.

You're not even using any factual data. You thinking Ohio State returns more playmakers than we do is supposed to justify your point? I've supplied all of the factual data. Why are you even letting me saying this get you all worked up so much, and distract you from the original argument? But I'll play along with it for one more post here and ask one more question.
Does Ohio State's 1 year run (we don't know yet if it will be a 2-year run or not) eclipse our 8-year run (that by all appearances - it could take a bit of a hit this weekend, who knows? - is still quite ongoing). You act like we're no longer very good, or that we've taken a giant step back.
Let me repeat. Last year, we were #1 for a good chunk of the season, eventually losing to the eventual national champion in the playoff (giving them a better game than Oregon, and probably still being the #2 team in the country). This year, we are sitting at #2.
A case (let's call it a projection) can be made for OSU to be the #1 program. But if you think somebody claiming Bama to be the nation's top program is burying their head in the sand, you're a freaking moron. I don't think even many of your own will support you here, if they are honest.

Alabama has plenty of competition every season. Winning any championship is difficult. But it has been the most consistent program in the country for the better part of the past decade. Every season is different and it will be interesting to see it play out.

This may be the most accurate and reasonable statement ever posted by a Bama fan. Tip of the "cap" to you Capstone (& yes pun intended).

He's en route.
ETA: he tweeted to Beaverton (where the opening is not UofCampus) Yeah, we are no threat.

Apparently the visit went better than expected.

When did I say nobody was catching up? We've proven to be the top program over the past few years. When I made the comment the other day, we sure were.
Yep. You're certainly NOT used to this winning thing. It's funny, though. All I've done the past couple days is congratulate the OM folks here on a good game and taking advantage of all of our turnovers (like a good team does). You act like I've ever disparaged your team on here?
Don't worry. Your first round draft picks will be gone soon, and you can get back to your 7-win comfort zone. You'll then be able to act normal again.

They have a payroll that rivals most NFL teams.. until the NCAA steps in, they will be revelant for the foreseeable future.

They will take their lumps next year.
Posted on 9/21/15 at 1:42 pm to tungi01
Hell, their payroll got one of our players suspended.
Posted on 9/21/15 at 1:49 pm to phaz
That's true. If anyone isn't aware of what he's talking about, Bo Scarborough is suspended because of involvement with an Ole Miss booster while at IMG. His momma got PI$$ED when she found out about it and put the ix-nay on it.

Please tell me y'all don't think Saban is getting all of these players without cheating or paying? Every SEC team does it. Saban was good at LSU because he paid players there and he's good at Bama cause he's paying there. Every team, except maybe Vandy, is making sure some of these kids get extra benefits. Also, Vandy did it when Franklin was there too so that's a perfect example of what happens when you don't.
