Big news @8:00 stay tune!
Rumor is it's going to be State, along w/ two other Fort Lauderdale players.
4* LB Tyler Dunning - offers from LSU, Arkansas, Tenn, Miami, Pitt, UK, Colorado
Edit: committed to State. Great OOS get.

You know recruiting is bad when you post about rumors.

Tyler Dunning is announcing at 7:00 and sounds like State. But you're right - I haven't seen one thread ever about a player's announcement.

Interesting. Some thought he would commit to LSU this past weekend

He didn't have a committable offer and that didn't sit well with him. Barton Simmons rana piece on him coming to LSU for the spring game with plans to commit, then right before the game he said he found out Dunning's offer wasn't committable at this time.
Shea confirmed that today, LSU wanted him to come to camp and work out at LB because he plays DT in high school.

He's an ILB.
Yes that's what he's being recruited as but he plays defensive line on his high school team. That's why our coaches wanted him to camp first.

Yeah he's an ILB prospect but last season at ST Aquinas he played mostly DL, played a lot of backup DT. I honestly thought he was a take for LSU but I guess they feel good about other guys
higher on their board.
Josh Clarke is in the same boat.

Clarke may never get an offer, doesnt seem aggressive enough for Aranda.
They are being highly selective on LB offers to fit Aranda's scheme, despite us definitely needing like 4 LBs this class. They are trying very hard with Dylan Moses, Bruce Jordan-Swilling, Chris Allen and Nadarius Fagan. They think they can get 3 of those 4 and already have Patrick Queen at LB.

He probably fits our scheme pretty well. We brought in an NFL DL coach and him and Sirmon are wanting to run a 3-4

Nope, I'm one of the guys that actually follow recruiting. Aranda wants Chris Allen at that position, wants to use him like they plan on using Kendell Beckwith.
I just kinda feel bad for the guys that don't end up at the school they want even though they have the talent to be there. Same thing happened to Joejuan Williams in the last class. Korey Charles too.
Both those guys wanted to commit to LSU.

Sounds like 5 years ago when Les felt that Rivers was the better QB than a kid from North Louisiana named Dak.
