#3 SDE in the nation #45 rated player in the 247 composite 2019 class rankings, is choosing between South Carolina, Alabama, NC State, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina. Right now all of the crystal balls are 100% for him to South Carolina, including from Wiltfong, he had his official visit on June 2nd. Jackson is the 2nd rated prospect in North Carolina behind Quavaris Crouch. He will announce on June 13 at 6:00 p.m.

He's not leaving the Carolinas, imo. The word on him is he wants to stay close to home. Alabama is always a factor, regardless of distance, so they could flip him before the ESP. He said he's gonna take an OV to Tennessee, but I don't see us as a factor.
Crouch on the other hand, is in love with Tennessee, and I don't care how much we have to cheat, Crouch is at the top of my wishlist.

Yeah I don't see us ending up with Crouch. Its yall or Clemmy IMO. If we get Jackson... Boner Time. Especially with Josh Belk coming to Carolina on Friday and is expected to announce his commit at that time I believe.

If we didn't have Pruitt, we'd have no shot at Crouch. Crouch may be the best overall prospect I've seen since Clowney.

Y'all recruiting Crouch as LB or RB? He played against my old high school last year, and was impressive on both sides of the ball. He only had 10-12 carries, but I think he rushed for about 170 yds and 3 TD's. His name was called a lot on defense, too.

Both

But I think he's leaning more towards LB, upside is higher there, although I'd take him even if wanted to play kicker. He's a once in a generation athlete and football player.

He’s really good, but once in a generation? Not even close

He would be the best player 10rc has had in generations so cut him some slack.

If Crouch wants to play LB then I don't see why he wouldn't want to play for the Gamecocks. Muschamp is putting together an elite defensive class, he's getting everyone he wants and not to mention we were the first ones to offer Crouch years ago. Right now Tennessee definitely leads, but that could change in the next 5-7 months if he waits until NSD to commit. Right now the CB's are at 33%, we will see what happens.

Crystal Ball predictions from John Wittle are accurate about 40% of the time. It's even worse when he makes predictions about Tennessee vs SC battles.

How many defensive ends do yall plan on taking this year? It seems like yall are in the top 5 talk with several more on top of the 3 you currently have committed.

After jackson we are done unless dante walker wants in and we'd likely take him as a buck

We use multiple fronts and very few prototypical DTs. A lot of those DEs will play a good many snaps inside as well.

It's a new scheme that Muschamp has been cooking up in the lab. 7-3-1, and the 3 lbs will also be defensive ends and the safety will be a corner.
It's so crazy it just might work

The Gamecocks probably will land Walker, UGA will take 5 DL this cycle and we expect Travon Walker and CJ Clark to join Bill Norton. The other 2 will come from Joshua Harris, Derick Hunter, Quashon Fuller (FSU commit) and one of the Mississippi guys being a wild card probably Byron Young. Did not mean to hijack the the thread but it's pretty evident Muschamp has turned it up a notch for sure.

Wish him the best. Can't blame him for staying home. Wolfpack got a good one, no doubt.
