Mr Key is all over the map. He may visit and commit to AU this week and a week later be 75 pct committed. Some recruits enjoy this type of thing.

This is a melt on the Gamecock recruiting board. They have had some decommits lately and it has to be frustrating but we have to remember these are 17/18 year old kids. Don't need to get so emotionally invested.

Looks like he is visiting LSU (1/16), Miami (1/19), and Auburn (1/30). Does this mean Georgia got bounced right along with South Carolina?
Hoping LSU can lock him down on the 16th. We need some DEs and this kid has a ton of athleticism and aggressiveness. Will be a huge get for the team that lands his signature.

he's still coming to SC on the 23rd. He bumped uga from the list for the auburn visit. SC Leads according to him on twitter, we'll see what happens. Probably will be a ratings/ranking bump coming his way soon, and then we'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be surprised if Key ended up at any of: AU, USCe, LSU, UGA, Miami, LSU, UF.

Seems too late for that. Plenty of guys do the decommit/recommit thing though so its not out of the realm of possibility.
But I think you have to admit that there's been some smoke to this fire for a while. Key has been looking for an exit plan, just looking for the right one. Georgia isn't it. Miami sure as hell isn't it. But LSU needs DEs, and Auburn just got Muschamp. My gut says its between LSU and Auburn.

Nah, they always do another re-ranking right before NSD, where "new film is uncovered" and/or they take the feedback/camp/film from the All Star Games and/or that type of thing and they the sites re-rank/rate/star recruits.
Usually, the uncommitted guys get a bump up in the rankings to make the fans of the sites feel as if those recruits are more important/valuable and to raise their hype level. It happens every year.

Isn't that what happened last year with Bryson Allen-Williams, who did well in the all-star games and blew up right around this time - even though he was already a 4* prospect. Then UGA and others came on very strong on him during the final month....

Yes, if I had more time today, I would put together a list of guys who got the late uncommitted bump in the past, but just watch for it this year. What you could do is copy/paste or take some screenshots of the current Top247. Then watch what happens during the final re-ranking.
I GUARANTEE that a bunch of guys who are uncommitted right now will have significant rating boosts.

I had a feeling once I saw him play well in the UA game he would be getting some calls. i feel confident saying he will end up in the SEC and thats about it.

Sad that the Gamecocks took his commitment when he was a 200 pound DE with terrible grades. Stuck with him through the whole process and then he gains weight and improves his grades and does this. Any chance he's enjoying the attention and ends up with Carolina in the end?
