Agreed. I just never had any feeling this kid was coming to Arkansas. White may have considered it, but "consider" is about all it was. I get the same feeling about Fulton.

They were trolling in response to trolling LSU fans. I was so excited about signing White that I forgot he was announcing today, until just now. The forums on hogville and 247 have known we wouldn't get him for weeks now.

All of us saying he was coming to Arkansas were doing so because LSU is so easy to freak out. 
The LSU fans that insisted arkansas wasn't in the mix were dead wrong, though

Arkansas was as in the mix as anyone else, which is to say they never really had a chance. He was LSU the whole time

I've always thought they resembled Oklahoma fans, but without all the history. Texas fans think they're above everyone and just don't care when they're proven wrong. Oklahoma fans have a chip on their shoulder and spend all their time trying to convince everyone they're worth respecting. LSU fans are the same way, but without all the titles.

So some fans have an over-inflated sense of accomplishment for their team? Kind of like how a lot of Arkansas fans think Arkansas is a somewhat premier SEC program despite never having won the conference in over 20 years?

Well that's not true.
Every Arkansas fan thinks we're a middle tier SEC football program trying to improve our ranking.
In other sports we're higher up in the rankings though.

Arkansas fans are much more aware of their place in the college football landscape historically than 99% of any LSU posters on this board.
Arkansas fans know what we are, a top 20 program historically that continually overachieves. We don't have many advantages compared to other powers, but we hold our own pretty well, all considered.
LSU, on the other hand, has many advantages. Not many would say with a straight face that you guys ever overachieve.

I don't think you're helping your case here. I don't think anyone really considers Arkansas a top 20 program right now and going forward, and it may even be a stretch to say that y'all are historically.
