Whitlock nailed it:

"Deon is a daddy-ball coach doing whatever he can to improve his son's stock."

Once both his kids are in the NFL he will be done with the college game. Look at his demeanor when His son was in, and then look at his demeanor after his son was hurt and put out for the game. It’s almost like he wasn’t interested in the game anymore.

But his pride will not just allow him to just up and quit coaching. He will have a press conference for his reality YouTube show, and cite “health issues” for the reason why he can’t continue on. Now I know he has health issues as the doctors have been trying to save his leg for a couple years now. But these health issues won’t stop him as long as his son is in college. Once his son has moved on the health issues will be to much to overcome.

I feel bad for the next coach at Colorado. What Deion has done there will leave the next coach in a tough spot. The next coach will have to replace the entire roster as most of the roster will leave once Deion is gone. Colorado will be worse off when Deion leaves than what he found it and that will be an accomplishment alone.

Well he's done a hell of a lot more for them than most men do

Agree, he was an amazing athlete. Classy not so much.

I like those who do both, Jordan comes to mind, Bird is another.
Go back a bit and men like DiMaggio and Musial were the rule rather than
the exception.
