3* WR Tre Jackson committed to SC last night.

His dad played for Spurrier at Florida, and was an All SEC/consensus All American WR who also played in the NFL.

Tre's decision came down to SC, Oklahoma, UNC, and Kansas St. We recruited him as a WR, but he plays WR, DB, KR, and PR in HS.

Here's a link to his highlights last year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USxQvYSz1BE

He's a playmaker. Maybe someone in LA could tell us more about his HS team, and level of competition they play.

He was a UF commit but I think the new staff didn't want him. Not sure why, they seem to be recruiting only three stars anyway.

Luke stampini claimed he was only offered by muschamp because he was a legacy.

I wonder how many more receivers we will take this year. Kornblut wrote something a few weeks ago that Edwards and one other might be it with Larry Collins being passed over. I can't imagine we'd give up on Kyle Davis though, but I think he will be hard to get away from UGA. I think we would have to have a really good season and beat them again on top of it for his interest SC to grow again.

He's on the same team as Dylan Moses, and Stanford commit Malik Antoine. Got some other underclassmen that will be highly recruited as will.

Don't know anything about him, but that's the same school Manny Miles plays at.

Manny Miles was his QB last year but has moved on to UNC. UHigh is a solid program, not in highest classification and they can cherry pick kids they want but good competition and not a bad place to get some inroads if you are South Carolina.

My guess is he could end up as a CB, a little small but a decent athlete. I remember when Odell Beckham came out and most fans thought LSU only offered because his dad and mom went to LSU but he ended up showing up that fall with the best WR hands on the team despite size. Randy Moss comparisons after first fall camp without the height.

Sorry, but that's just not true. Odell was a consensus 4 star WR/CB. The only problem with his recruitment was LSU wanted him at CB at first, and he wanted no part of that.

LSU slow played Beckham and Miami nearly got him.
LSU was not as high on him as you think

Damn his team must run the ball a ton. The safeties were almost always dropping down.

LSU didn't slow play him. They wanted at CB, not WR. When they realized they were gonna lose him they offered him at WR.

Ding Ding Ding, we got a winner. The discussion was at receiver after the 7 on 7 this weekend and he decided to pull the trigger on South Carolina.

He will be a great slot reciever for yall. Quick as lightening with pretty good speed and great route runner plus he seems to catch all the balls thrown his way no matter the coverage on him
