Why does everyone think we lack depth? It's true that we've been rebuilding and that we're still lacking depth in some areas, but depth isn't the problem many seem to believe. If it were a problem, then maybe we'd have room for 25 in this class, but we're only expecting 19.

I will give you some credit for saying we're lacking at wr, but our wr corps has been decimated since the season started. You should have said skill position players, because the same is true at RB.

And while I'm pleased with Jennings, I certainly wouldn't say that he's coached up our secondary. It's largely considered the weakest link and was expected to play better then it has.

We need a pass rusher or two in the worst way. That's the biggest weakness of this team. Thank teh lawd we got Agim but we really need another one. Our defense would look so much better with an actual pass rush.

because we are?

starting freshmen and redshirt freshmen in the two deep on the oline

not to mention our terrible depth at LB that's the likely primary cause of more than one of our losses

You lack elite talent at line backer. D-line and o - line and somewhat qb are only things your staff has provided serious depth for.

You left off Tight End but other than that I would agree.

We're definitely lacking depth at LB and a little at OL, although we're only starting youth there because they're young. That's not really uncommon.

P.S. Just realized that I misunderstood what Statsattack and Cheshire wrote, and that I don't disagree at all, so I deleted it. Sorry for the mistake.

For this current class we got Agim, Capps, and Guidry all of which are monsters on the D-Line let Herb get em for a year and see how much they improve.

I like what Bert stands for and applaud him for leaving Madison to try a new challenge in Arky. You guys aren't built to win a national title or even top 3 in the sec west. Any air raid team is a terrible matchup for you guys

yea for sure this year. the more bert implements his system, that will become less true.

eta the past few times Stanford has beat Oregon stands as a good example. Stanford consistently recruits worse star talent than Oregon

Stanford and Arky are built to beat teams like Oregon. When you over power finess running teams they no longer can move in large chunks to wear you down. Also wears out there smaller players and wears out the defense. Oregon is not a air raid team like texas tech or A & M.

If you run heavily in your play call the piggies will keep it close. If you pass it a ton they are screwed. If they get down early (texas tech) or one big play away from losing ( a n m) they can't come back.

That's fundamentally not the case. Arkansas was 14 points down at Tennessee and they actually led the am game with 4 minutes left. Those are false rhetorics

Tennessee isn't a air raid team like Texas Tech they are more of a running team.

You guys are built identical to Iowa I have no idea how none of the Arkansas fans see that. Watch Iowa play Ohio State and have no answer for there speed.

I'm a die hard hog fan, but I've started to believe this may be a problem for beilamas teams as well. I won't say we can't beat teams like A&M and ttech because we should've beaten A&M and we beat tech last year but it does seem like he has a really tough time stopping teams like that. For you other posters who might throw names out there like Oregon, Ohio state, miss state, or auburn those are spread teams and not air raid. Both ran primarily out of the gun, but not the same offense. That's like saying pro style and the veer is the same because there both run under center.

I was referring to the "can't come from behind" statements. That is myth, not fact.

Still I'm not sure why you bring all this up........Arkansas has plenty of weaknesses. Not sure why you feel the need to tell everyone what we already know. And to do it in the recruiting forum isn't the pkace

We need more speed on defense. When we get that, an Air Raid offense won't stand a chance. Even without the speed, I still think we should have beaten Texas Tech and A&M this year.

And don't forget we're redshirting Jamario Bell... he has a lot of upside at DE.
