Just committed to the Hogs. Morris sees something in the guy, he's been our primary QB target throughout the process this year. He threw for 36 TDs vs 3 INTs last year and added 1300 yards rushing. Seems like a baller.

I know they got along way to go but I think Arkansas could pull in a pretty good class this year. They are very involved in several top rated players in Tennessee.

Yep. I don't think we've been actively pursing him for a while, actually.
I think most folks were expecting Jefferson to pick Arkansas, but I was worried that A&M offer that came in a couple of days ago might complicate things. Glad we won out.

To be honest, I'm not sure who or what the QB strategy for 2019 is for us. I think getting Foster took some of the pressure off reaching for anyone who they are not 100% sold on.

It's a long way to signing day, for sure.
I just read in a 247 article that Jefferson's offer list when we offered him in January was: Austin Peay, Jackson State, Memphis, South Alabama, Tulane, San Antonio and Northwestern State.
At the time of his commitment, it's: Baylor, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

And threw for over 3000 yards. Looks like a good get. He has to get stronger in his upper and lower body.

Ideally he has time to develop if our QB commit from this year, Connor Noland, is as good as advertised.

The whole two sport thing with Connor gives me pause. Who is the last one to do it? I guess Kyler Murray is going to attempt but he’s yet to be a starting QB.

His ole miss offer wasn’t at QB which is why he wont sign with us. He’s from 20 minutes from Oxford

No wonder he wants to get the hell out of there.
Where was he offered to play? He doesn't really seem to have the top end speed for a WR. Although I can't read the articles, your 247 guys sure made it seem like he was being pursued at quarterback. They don't even list him as an "athlete" in the title.

He was offered a chance at QB but not a guarantee to stay there by Ole Miss. Arkansas is selling him as a QB only hence why we landed him.

I don't understand how a guy that puts up the passing numbers and has the film that he does doesn't just go straight QB, but I'm glad they made that decision.
