Year of Jimbo is rolling.

This comment from the Banks to LSU thread seems to apply:

Still don’t understand how he’s a 3* with that offer list

Hunter Rayburn will be following up with his commitment this week as well. Same elite offer list.

That offer list is impressive

That statement was regarding Bank’s commitment.
I follow LSU recruiting closely and lve never heard of Adrian Medley. I’m sure he good, but I’ve never heard our recruiting guys mention this kid once.

That probably had as much to do with LSU chances as it did to the quality of the recruit.

Nope, perhaps it had to do with the recruit not being a take for us.

Guy AU liked a lot. Good pickup

Maybe, but seems pretty silly. He was a take for Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and others, but not big bad LSU even though all the other sites show an offer.

Yeah, especially considering I had never heard of him.

It appears you're assuming this 3-star OL is a take for every school that offered; i.e., that every offer he got is a commitable offer.

I follow Bama recruiting very closely and I don't recall ever seeing his name mentioned as a significant Bama target. I also follow recruiting besides just Bama and I don't recall ever seeing his name at all until I saw this thread.

ETA: I'm not saying the player isn't good or won't be. I really don't know anything about him.

Were you following it last Nov?

Alabama has extended an offer to 2019 offensive tackle Adrian Medley, Pensacola (Fla.) coach Mike Mincy tells 247Sports' Chris Nee.
Medley adds the tender to a list that includes Arizona, Florida, and Florida State (among others).
"Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt came by, they have been watching film on him," Mincy tells BamaOnLine. "He came in, watched him, and said, 'There's no way we can pass up on this kid.'"
Medley was thrilled to get the news.
"With Medley, he was excited," Mincy said. "He's not the type kid that will say a whole lot. He's very grounded. Obviously he was smiling ear to ear. He was really, really, excited to get that offer."
Mincy says whichever school gets Medley will get a good one. He describes him as a "great student with nothing but upside."
As for the schools in pursuit, there's a handful of programs that are in good position early.
"He's got quite a few offers," Mincy said. "He really likes Florida State, he really likes Alabama. We're going to try to get him up to a Junior Day at Clemson. Especially those three, and Florida. He's a good one. You gotta think Alabama is one of the top on his list now."
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Medley has not yet received a rating from 247Sports.
The Crystal Ball reads in favor of the Seminoles at 100 percent at this juncture.

Yep. Bama and others do offer guys that they don't end up seeking a commitment from. It's actually pretty common. As far as I know he never even attended any Bama junior days or camps. After getting a preliminary offer he hasn't really shown up on the radar. I might've noticed his offer at that time but then soon forgot it, since it didn't lead to any visible recruiting activity. My memory isn't very good anyway.

What about his teammate? Has was offered in May. Real or fake offer?

Bold move for Jimbo to try and use mid tier 3-star OL to run his system.

LSU gets a 3 star DB to commit, and Ags talk about what a great get the kid is.
A&M gets a 3 star OL to commit (one who has 33 offers, including from LSU and Clemson and Bama and FSU and Auburn), and this board writes it off.
In short, Jimbo got dem bahs skeert.
