I've noticed there's a ton of 3* kids with impressive offers in this cycle on 247.

this is when you see mysterious bumps later in the recruiting cycle
They'll say:
"Finally showed the potential we knew he was capable of"
But it's more like:
"Damn this kid has to be good, we can't have an 86 composite getting the full court press from Bama, LSU, OSU, and FSU"

It's still very early in the evaluating process. They'll probably do 2 maybe even 3 more mass updates before signing day next year.
We definitely have a couple 3-stars (Justin Thomas, Stephen Guidry, Neil Farrel, Myles Brennan) who should be 4-stars based on offers alone.
Guys like Neil Farrell somehow are a mid 3-star with offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Tennessee, USC...I mean wow

Brennan is a 4* now isn't he? Farrell I thought was too?? Not that it matters with the offer list. Sci Martin is getting a ton of praise and some say he could be the best signee of a star studded group at Lsu. He was a 3* as well who bama and Lsu both really wanted once he got grades lined out.

Brennan is a 92 4-star on 247's own rankings and a high 4-star on ESPN but Rivals is a joke with him as a low 3-star. Scout has him as a high 3-star.
Basically because rivals isn't even close, he's a 3-star composite despite him being a 4 star on 2 sites and very very close to being a 4-star on a third (Scout).

247 and ESPN is only ones I keep up with. Faak the other two. I'm not a star gazer anyway. Offer list will tell us all we need to know. Thanks for the verification though !!

Rivals has become the least reliable recruiting site out there. Completely fell off when 247sports came about.
