Highlights

Former VT commit that was going to play DB for them but we offered him to play QB. He's an EE so will participate in spring practice. Lead team to 7A state finals in GA where they lost in overtime to Grayson. Getting a lot of Nick Marshall comparisons

He'll be pretty good in your system. I don't think he has Marshall's athleticism but I think he'll be pretty good for you.

Ya he's quick but not sure he has same burst as Marshall. I think he's a better passer at this point than Marshall was though which is nice to see. He's got time to develop to with Stidham and White ahead of him tho developing QB talent hasn't exactly been our forte lately

I think Bubba is gone as far as AU is concerned. Now that schools want him as QB he probably lands at Tennessee or Ole Miss

I guess for UT he is. Wants to play both but we're done at QB

Nick had a stronger arm but Malik is way more accurate. At this stage.

Nick Marshall was an unbelievable athlete. Wouldn't throw that type of hype on the kid yet but congrats on the get. Anytime you can pick up an athlete that can play qb and fit your system is a nice addition.

I agree he doesn't appear to be the athlete out of high school NM was.... but Willis was set to play DB for bud foster at VT... you gotta be pretty damn athletic to do that.

I agree but that's what multiple scouting reports have mentioned. If he's half as good as Marshall was in our offense I will be ecstatic

Nick Marshall set Georgia stats high school passing records before Deshaun Watson came along...

Which ones? I'm not saying he wasn't a pretty good passer in high school but Malik has more accuracy at this point and against much tougher competition.

GHSA Passing Yards You can search all the other records on that link too.

Touchdown passes (broken by 2 people now) in a career.

Missed that one. I'd still take Malik as a passer after watching both play in high school.
