Would I be shocked if he chose LSU? Not really considering the situation.
It's all just a guessing game

He said all his sources are pointing to bama. I wouldn’t say a guess, just going based on what his sources say. Doesn’t sound like a guess to me

Alright it's an educated guess

Someone on the Bama staff told him Sage was committed. Sure, it’s possible that Sage flips to LSU under the immense pressure he’s no doubt experiencing, but at the time of this post - he’s committed to Bama, or Watts wouldn’t have made the pick.

He missed the arik Gilbert commitment

Yep, I guess that would be the one major exception I can think of. Gilbert surprised the LSU coaching staff with that one.
Watts went on record to say the Sage commitment is nothing like the Gilbert one. Not sure what he meant by that, but I assume there’s less of a chance of frickery.

Everyone missed it, including UA, UGA and LSU mods. Nobody had CBd Gilbert to LSU. Gilbert had told Bama's staff he was coming.

Every single expert got that one wrong. That was a very out of the norm recruitment.
In this line of business, forecasting the decisions of 17/18 year old kids, nothing is a sure bet. Some of the best in this business will tell you they get things wrong from time to time. It isn't their first and it won't be their last either.
I hope he chooses LSU but IMO, he planned to originally commit this week to Alabama. Alabama insiders clearly had some inner knowledge of details that LSU wasn't aware of originally as the commitment caught everyone on the LSU side off guaurd. LSU pulled out all the stops and have done everything they could to get him back or push back the date. LSU probably made up some ground and gave him something to think about. I feel like if he was still on the fence and unsure of where he truly wanted to go, he would push back the commit date. Hope I'm wrong but just the way it feels
We will see tomorrow.

It's different because of Ryan's relationships with a current LSU coach and his HS coach, who are both former LSU players. Watts also said Ryan is not a kid who would mislead or play games with coaches recruiting him.
Posts on the LSU RB and Geaux247 claim LSU has offered to hire Trev (his HS coach) if Ryan signs with LSU. If true, what does that indicate? And per NCAA Bylaws, LSU could only hire Trev as an on-field coach. Does LSU have an on-field staff opening?

He 100% planned to commit to Bama but there is so much smoke from LSU side. Smoke way exceeding other situations like ish etc

Im just trying to prepare to not be disappointed if it does end up that way

Actually, the sage Ryan commitment hasn't been bad.
People are noted pissed off at the staff.
I've only seen a couple idiots go after the kid.
Usually this is true but this time you made this up.
Weird, that you don't care where a kid goes but you get off on seeing a treasure trove about it

Ironic coming from a bama fan

Bama has good h.s. football but Louisiana and Ohio are a bit better imo.

Latest update from Watts, paraphrased:
Everything remains the same from the Bama side. The Bama staff has been given no indication that he has changed his mind.
On the LSU side, they’ve gone from expecting Bama to being “optimistic” that he could choose LSU. Watts called this a “new development.”
They are leaving their Crystal Ball for Bama.

This afternoon, Geaux247's Dixon and Embody said LSU is now feeling optimistic, but they're leaving their CBs on Bama "for now" and will dig some more tomorrow. In the same thread, a well-respected insider on Geaux247 said LSU's staff hasn't gotten any indication(s) that Ryan is changing his mind.

A post from Tuscaloosa I FINALLY agree with. It's the same song and dance almost every year, almost exact same scenarios. He's going to Bama and I accept it. Hope al LSU fans do too.

It was a joke. Every team plays the game to some extent. But the irony here is that we're not the ones currently self-sanctioning in hopes to avoid the NCAA hammer. That would be y'all.
