Love Roydell! Several HS coaches that I have seen coach against him talk like he's the best they've ever faced. May push for 5* before it's all said and done. Comparisons to Josh Jacobs and Caddillac Williams out there.

Going from fringe top 300 to 5 star is a stretch even for the auto hump recruits get when they pick Bama.

These services are just guessing and use various programs' evaluations to help slot kids, when not directly at least subconsciously. Saban is possibly the best evaluator in football, he has a true gift, so naturally they trust his judgment to a great degree. But no one is close to infallible on their guesses about how a kid will project from a 16 yo hs player to a 19-22 yo freshman college player. But as you indicate, the Bama bump is often real, and just about as often, justified.
