I think the point is hes picking LSU, or would be the biggest troll in history to basically invite every LSU fan around to announce all in front of them hes headed to bama. Would be a pretty short party. He's even having LSU media specifically cover stuff supposedly.

So i wonder.
What's keeping the likes of shea dixon from pulling the trigger on Roy? The non-insiders are starting to cough up those crystal balls but those "in the know", on both sides of the Alabama/lsu fence are holding off.
What does shea dixon know or not know that has him so hesitant? I mean if all signs, roads and stars point to lsu then what's the hold up?
Something has the lsu insiders standoffish and the bammie insiders just sorta hanging loose.

I get what your saying. But it's also possible that the form of his announcement party has nothing to do with which school he's chosen, and isn't aimed at trolling LSU or it's fans at all if he plans to announce for Bama or ATM.
Perhaps the establishment offered to comp dinner, etc. for Roy's family and a few close friends in exchange for him making an open invitation to the public on social media -- to promote their business. Roy gets to be in the spotlight and his family gets to host a bigger party, without the work and expense of hosting a small party at home. It's a win-win deal.
And in that scenario, it seems pretty logical for the establisjment to welcome LSU and other local sports media to be present, as is typical when a recruit holds an announcement ceremony at his HS or a local resaurant.
I don't suppose the party will be any shorter for Roy, his family and close friends regardless of which school he announces for. After all, it's his right to choose the school he wants to attend and play football for, that he feels is in his own best interest. And he shouldn't care at all about the thoughts and opinions of people who don't respect his right to make that choice and hold it against him for not choosing the school/team they're a fan of.

FWIW even the bama insiders on 247 are saying ita LSU on the 26th but still think he ends up in bamas class (which doesnt really make sense, but I'll take the first part they are conceeding)

nothing to do with roy, just something specific to bama's recruiting board.
LSU fans are allowed to visit but, they CAN'T DOWNVOTE or post anything unless they are registered on it. Don't think many are. I've only seen one post anything on it.
I do go from time to time just to get a looky see.

Honestly I'd be shocked at this point if Roy doesn't pick LSU. I'm not your usual dumbass homer you find on this site that thinks every recruit will pick my team. Here my thought process:
-The past 1.5 months he has spent loads of time with the football staff/players (remember, he goes to school on LSU's campus). For a 2 week stretch he was on campus daily.
-He's committing early. Usually when LSU loses a recruit to Alabama, he takes it all the way to end of the process and ends up at UA. Several weeks ago we thought Roy would take this to NSD and that is where Alabama wins these battles. Not so this time.
-His commitment party is open to all in Baton Rouge. It'd be pretty crazy to have such an event in the heart of LSU country only to pick Alabama. It's possible, but unlikely in my opinion.
-Social media activity. I know older folks tend to dismiss this stuff but it's how kids express themself. If you watch his Instagram stories, they usually have him wearing an LSU t-shirt or crossposting an LSU fan page's post about him.
-Insiders. I know 'bradleyrice13' is an idiot, but he did say about a week prior to Roy's announcement (commiting on the 26th) that Roy would be commiting to LSU soon. So did 'MrClean', a more known and reliable source on TigerDroppings. I know this is underground message board stuff, but it just seems like too many factors pointing in LSU's direction.

Yeah, I know.
I think there's about a dozen fans of other teams who occasionally post on the Bama board and some more registered who rarely if ever, post. There's at least one poster serial downvoting in our recruiting thread, but there's no way to tell who it is. I think RiverCityTider is one who does it, especially my posts -- because he HATES me.
ETA: Maybe LSU Patrick is registered on the Bama board.

Yeah, I've monitored Roy's recruitment pretty closely since he visited Bama in June -- on BOL, Geaux247 and TD Recruiting board. I've seen all the things you mentioned. And I agree that they do seem like pretty good reasons, especially in combination, for LSU fans to feel optimistic.
