I am tired of hearing about this kid at this point.

Me personally if I had my choice of living in San Fran or Atl. the next 3-5 yrs it would be a no brainer, N. Cali all day and twice on Sunday.

I'd agree but Stanford very non-San Francisco-ish and Cal on the other side of the bridge with a very different vibe as well.

But Bay Area vs. Atlanta? No contest.

Essentially 99.9% of every article ever written about recruiting is clickbait... it is the engine that fuels their subscriptions, advertisements, and correspondingly paychecks. This is no different. Getting a FAA signed second means little more than getting the OV originally, which is to say that you're in consideration. Until DRob tells people otherwise, UGA is also "in consideration", along with Bama and Notre Dame. I'm not sure why this seems to be so hard for you to follow.

Stanford is his top choice, but it appears may be out of reach. Outside of that, it doesn't even seem clear that DRob knows how he would rank other schools. You could of course try to rationalize that signing a FAA is indicative of some likelihood of retaining his services, so you and Cal are on equal playing fields currently, but it's not like he hasn't indicated that he would not be signing additional FAAs? Also, rewind about a week or so and it was direct DRob quotes indicating Alabama, UGA, Notre Dame all even at #2. "But don't count out Cal or GT'. I return to my previous statement... the circus continues.

What I am finding interesting is that while initially it seemed like he was just trying to make the best decision for his future, more recently it does seem to have trended more toward the attention seeking "me me me" realm. Things quiet down a bit and then he, or Carlos, or someone has a nugget of information to share to get him front and center. Granted some of that is likely driven by the recruiting channels looking to get a scoop, but at this point, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the kid will likely not play much in the way of meaningful snaps in 2016 at all... paralysis by analysis extends beyond just choosing a school.

Bottom line, Tech should never land a 5 star, much less an in state 5 star. If they do it is more than just a fluke. It is pretty good evidence that something fishy is going on.
