Hey that is great news. We need him to develop as a threat on 3rd downs off opposite side of Lemonier (Nosa is not a pass rusher).

I agree.

I thought he was having a really good year before he went down with an injury. It sucks that it took him this long to put on weight, but he definitely has the potential to be a real threat on the outside.

Same thing with Owens as well.

I doubt the grimes is an a-hole stuff, but our side is confident Miller will be in BR in fall or sooner.

So it is the exact same place he was in before lee didn't graduate and before gunner flipped?

I'm just curious what changed.

That lee stuff never had a thing to do with it. Gunner was the reason. Though why we needed a long snapper(Ferguson) 4 months early I'll never understand. Dwayne Thomas was set to enroll as well and was asked to wait.

What changed is we will have the numbers now. Especially with him paying his own way for a year.

He's just not happy at Auburn.

Not a single Auburn site can confirm this. I am curious as to how LSU has all the inside info on what Patrick Miller is feeling. You would think at least one person, on one site, would have an inside scoop on this, as they did with Dyer, Eric Smith, Barrett Trotter, etc.

Even a UF mod who has spoken to Miller's high school coach said he is happy at Auburn.

We're going to have a ton of competition at tackle in the next couple years. Maybe he thought he could play at LSU earlier and he's willing to sit out a year to do so?

Again, unless Auburn releases him (which they won't do if they are sane), he'll have to sit out TWO years.

The day he came to auburn he couldn't have paid his own way and played for LSU?

The day he came to auburn he could have waited a few months to enroll and be on scholarship in the fall at LSU.

I'm pretty sure he did feel slighted, and it's evident LSU was his first choice.. Hopefully if he is unhappy, he'll learn to love his decision..

Really dude? You can't be that sebse. You just got Blakely last year in similar fashion and he will play this year.

That's because Blakely received a full release from UF.

I'm not saying Miller wouldn't receive a full release from us, but that's a big "if" that you're just taking for granted.

Blakely was released to a team that UF doesn't play *every damn year*.

Miller (if any of this bullshite is true and I've seen nothing to prove it is) would (hypothetically) want to be. That's a big no-no-no. You do *not* release those kids.

Auburn doesn't play UF every year for the SEC East title.

LSU does play Auburn every year for the SEC West title.

One of these things is not like the other.

Our guys are saying AU does not have to release him. He's free to leave and will do so.

We don't have to release him but he will have to sit out 2 years if we don't. Enrolling and attending class= signing a LOI in the NCAA's eyes. It really doesn't matter any way. It would likely be at least 2 years before he plays for either school.

Wrong. One year. As an early enrollee he never signed a document binding him to the commitment.

If I am not misstaken, the father took the kid to Auburn because we asked him to pay for the spring semester because at that time we were full up for early enrollees. Now the father will have to pay for a full year. Sometimes it is better to let your temper cool down, before making an important decision.

If he transfers this season and redshirts he has 4 years to play. Everyone has five to play 4. He would have redshirted here regardless because he was greatly underweight.

Dude, you are wrong. He must get permission from Auburn to contact LSU. He then must get permission from Auburn to transfer to LSU.

Auburn can deny him both.

He attended classes which means he is on scholarship at Auburn. If all this is true and Auburn does not release him to attend LSU he won't be eligible to play until his RS So season.
