I don't talk to my source anymore since I moved to SC, otherwise I'd attempt to be that guy.

Although he was better for coaching moves, etc.

I was actually giving you a hard time. I take nothing personal or serious in recruiting.

AUs DL is absolutely more stacked than Bama's right now.

I hate to be that guy, but is this the year that AU's stellar recruiting starts to show? Luper gets some pretty big name guys in..is it going to translate? At what point do you say that a coaching staff full of big time recruiters needs to give way to development? '12, '13, '14?

On paper it is close. But we play with three dl y'all play with four. If you include our jacks and outside line backers it is not even close. When you talk about actual production the only defensive linemen or linebacker who has been above average is Corey Lemonier.

We are bringing in 2 new offensive coordinators this year along with a new QB. I think we will be better this year but it is going to be rocky at times with he new offense and defense. In 2013, 2014, 2015 the sky is the limit.

8-5, 14-0, 8-5, expected 10-3, and then a Natty is the expected course for AU fans?

If 8-5 is the result this year, will that change for you?

You are being that guy bro, and I highly doubt you hate it. You will see a stark difference from last year to 2012 in play on the field.

Eta: for me this year, it is not so much about the wins as it is the style of play, effort, ability, competitiveness, etc. I do believe that will transfer to more wins though.

I think, and hope, so. They were true freshman in 2010 and Dyer was really the only one that had a chance to have a real impact. We had guys like Whitaker, Lemonier and Carter rotating in on DL, because we really didn't have too much behind guys Fairley, Blanc, Carter and Clayton, but other than that, no one really got any really good experience until last year.

If you really look at it, they've only had 2 full classes of their own. 09 was a tape job by Chizik and the 12 class is just enrolling now.

I think we'll definitely start to see these guys show up this year. If it doesn't happen, I'll be pretty disappointed. If it doesn't happen in 2013, I'll be extremely disappointed and start really worrying about the development side. I don't think it comes to that, because I think we'll see a pretty massive improvement this year, especially on defense, and it continues to get better in 13 and 14.

With two new guys on the sideline after running the Gus system for several years?

You know where my hate is focused. I just am of the opinion that getting kids to sign on the line is causing a blockage of the lack of production. All that glitters isn't gold and whatnot..

By now you should know I only flame UT. frickers.

We should show a good bit of improvement this year, same as the defense, but we'll still have a ton of sophs and true juniors starting all over the place, plus new systems to learn. Next year there should be no excuses and we should be well developed on both sides of the ball in the second year of the new systems on both O and D.

Yes even with two new coordinators. Especially on D. You know why? The talent is in place. I expect to also see some tough moments in 2012.

You know I am goofing on you.

We've exceeded expectations every year under Chizik, correct?
