Well let's be honest. It is obvious many of you care about Trooper whether you choose to admit it or not. He is the target in many of the negative posts by Bama fans.

ETA: A little late with my response, Oh Well.

That's cause he swings a towel around his head and acts dumb. He's easy to make fun of.

I think there's more to it than that (on why Alabama fans hate him), but the recruits, players, fans, etc... seem to love what he does.

Sure I get that, but he is one hell of a recruiter. Fact! Like him or hate him he is good. Same way I look at Saban I dislike him a lot, but respect him like hell for his recruiting ability. Anyway I am moving on from this NA.

I am excited to hear about the visits of the two 2014 QB's in AU today anyone hear anything yet?

Guys I have some bad news. My attorney's maid's sister's barber heard from a unnamed source (guy has been 100% accurate with his inside info since 4/13/2008) that Dee Liner and Carl Lawson are flipping to Bama on signing day. Congrats Bama fans, they are going to be great players.

I am so sad. I am going to drink. I am going to throw up. I am mad. I hate those evil Alabama fans. Gosh darn it, gosh darn it gosh darn it!!!!!!!!!

I sure hope Loeffler knows what he's doing

(I don't mean with recruiting in particular, but with our offense in general)

Yeah, I am interested to see as well.

Long, but worth it if you haven't heard it. Confirms what most Aubuies already knew. Really good

------------------------------------------------
On a different note:

I know some of us have taken pause when we hear we have taken a 3 star recruit's commitment at Auburn lately. May of us included myself have really enjoyed ending up high in the recruiting wars in the star rating world. So I wanted to share a portion of something I read on Brian VanGorder in an article done about 5 months ago.

quote:

National recruiting analyst Rusty Mansell has covered recruiting in the state of Georgia for a number of years and is very familiar with VanGorder’s recruiting acumen.

“He’s a no-nonsense type guy. The way you see him on the field, that’s the way he is,” Mansell said. “He wants you to shoot him straight and he’s going to shoot you straight.

“He’s going to recruit guys to fit his system. He doesn’t care what other people think about them. He doesn’t care what other offers they have. The one thing you can say about VanGorder is he wants high-energy guys.”

quote:

Mansell said a trio of underrated prospects that VanGorder signed in 2001 is a great example of his ability to evaluate prospects. Linebackers Thomas Davis and Odell Thurman, and defensive end David Pollack came to Georgia with very little fanfare.

Davis and Pollack left as 1st round picks in the 2005 NFL Draft. Thurman went in the second round.

“Davis had no Division I offers. VanGorder found him, offered him and history shows what that kid did,” Mansell said. “He found David Pollack. He was a fullback/athlete. They got him over there. He wound up being high-energy and VanGorder found the right place for him.

“Odell Thurman is another one. He didn’t have a lot of D-I offers, certainly not any SEC offers. VanGorder found him, liked him, and he wound up going high in the NFL draft as well.”

Mansell said VanGorder doesn’t shy away from the hours of evaluations it takes to find players that other schools miss like Davis, Pollack and Thurman.

That is some serious manufactured outrage in that bama thread.

So why all the "trooper mad at auburn for not hiring him as oc post? Not saying you did but I also dont think you speak for the majority of bama fans.

If he's a non issue then he's a non issue and didn't deserve your time or attention.

I personally don't like the guy because he is a good snakeoil salesman. Only UA should have good snakeoil salesmen.

I've heard from people that Reuben is on board for Auburn (atleast for now considering the Saban Factor) and that he will play OLB and play off the edge. Trey Johnson would be ILB and according to Dee Liner, Dee said Trey is a machine and very underrated.

Also VolNation is retarded thinking Lawson is going to UTk

He was just trolling, don't worry about their opinions on Trooper. Let's keep our focus in here on recruiting.

As to BVG's recruiting ability, I don't see how he won't be an awesome recruiter...I mean, have you seen The Stache! You simply can't say no to it

Do you have a personal quota of times you have to use "snake oil?"

In a back on topic note anyone got any analysis of this 2014 qb on campus?

The term itself? At least 10,000.
The actual product? Everyday. It keeps my hair shiny and movements regular.
