I just don't know what you wanted him to ask. How's your girlfriend? What did you have for lunch? All committed players get asked the same type of questions in interviews, it's just how it is

He was definitely fishing for something he could use to make people think that he's not solid which I think is bs

Those all seem like reasonable questions to ask a highly sought after recruit that is committed to a top school recruiting other top players.

The first 5 questions were all basically questioning his commitment to Bama. Find me another interview with a committed prospect where the interviewer starts out that way and I will agree with you.

How's did things go in the 7 on 7 tournament?

What other tournaments/camps are you planning on participating in this summer?

What's your current height/weight?

When are you planning on visiting BAMA again?

Why did you decide to commit to Bama?

How do you feel about your teammate Parker McLeod commiting to Bama?

Are you recruiting anyone else to Bama?

Those are questions that a Bama interviewer are supposed to ask, not national reporters. When committed players get interviewed by national guys, it's usually about their commitment and other possibilities. It's just how it is

And I'm sure Auburn fans were perfectly happy with that interview, right?

He's not an Alabama beat reporter. He's there to get answers on a national level. He's not going to pamper to your fanbase just because he is committed there.

The ones that were upset don't understand that those types of questions will always be asked by national reporters. It's part of the business

I honestly don't think Keith (now with 247) likes Tyren Jones for some reason. Back when Rivals released their rankings several people inquired during a Rivals chat session as to why Jones wasn't ranked higher. Keith basically stated that Tyren's production was due to his offensive line......basically stating that he didn't think Tyren was all that good.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Tyren's ranking dip on 247 as these organizations put too much emphasis on camps for RBs when the role of a RB is based primarily on breaking tackles whether it be via speed, agility, power. That can't be evaluated at a Camp or Combine.

Take a look at the level of competition the top RBs in the 2013 Class have played against and then look at their production "on the field". The competition gets no better than Georgia's large class in terms of national ranked teams and players.

LMAO at the folk on BOL that grade RBs based on appearance/ muscle definition and combine performance. See Mario Fannin at the NFL Combine as Exhibit A as to how the aforementioned is FAIL in terms of evaluating RBs.

Jesus, I'm sorry for having a different opinion from you guys. I fully expect him to be asked if he's solid and if he's planning on taking any other visits but I think 5 questions on the topic is excessive. He basically wasted over half the interview fishing for something and came up empty. We knew he was solid after the first couple questions.

I love you Bama fans that get so offended when another fan posts in your thread

And Remy, I agree with your post. RBs can't really show anything in camps besides speed and muscle definition. Same with LBs

Question 2: What other schools are you hearing from the most?

Question 3: What are they telling you?

Question 4: Will you visit any other schools this summer?
Are all questions that any national recruiter asks any top recruit. Are these 3 questions really that insulting to you? It's the summer before his SR year. He will go on visits. He is still being recruited heavily by other schools. I don't see what the big fricking deal is with these questions.

Are you upset that he asked how he feels that 2/3 other high ranking RBs will also go to Alabama? Does this not seem like a reasonable question to ask ANY highly ranked recruit now-a-days with the way recruiting has blown up?

Heaven forbid other people don't toe the TideFans company line and have different opinions.

However, this is the SECRB. No one is flaming. If they don't like having opposing fans in their thread, then they need to take their asses back to their homer websites where everyone circle jerks to how great they are.

Hey man, it's a difference of opinion. Maybe you were fine with that TJ Yeldon interview. If I were an Auburn fan, I would've been pissed. Like I said, I don't have a problem with checking the status of a prospect's commitment, but after a certain point it seems like the interviewer is trying to influence him or create doubt in his mind and I don't think that's what he's paid to do.
