I was just joking. Hopefully the baseball team will get it turned around next season. Had a lot of freshmen pitchers this past season

4. DO NOT engage in personal attacks on other users. Healthy debate is expected and encouraged, but take the childish insults elsewhere. This is particularly true with regard to visitors from other schools. Moderators will be especially watchful for verbal abuse, ridicule, ad hominem attacks, and stalking.

If Saban lands DH and assumnig he plays RB, how would that effect the RB depth for the following year?
1. TJY, the next McFadden
2. Fowler, Sr?
3. Hart, Rs SO
4. ????
5. ???????

Geez I said I was sorry. Thanks for showing me the rule.
I doubt we take the safety/rb from Miss. .He's probably a good ways down our board.

If Lacy does not get his foot back in order soon and drop some weight he will be here for his Sr. year too.

I think Lacy may be "forced" out after a decent year. Not literally, but like Coffee.
As for '13, I think it will depend on the success of either Hart or Yeldon. Yeldon could vault to 2nd on the depth chart, or he could stay 4th all year. I think Fowler will be typecast into what he has been doing, "the finisher" with short yardage work involved.
Hart/Yeldon
Fowler
Tenpenny
Jones
Henry
There's not real order to the freshman, although I do think a healthy Tenpenny would contribute out of all them. I think Sims will be at another position/school by then. Kenyan Drake, as talent as he is, will probably be forced to DB or WR.

Lacy's NFL grade will never be higher than it would after this coming year if he is healthy. The O-line will be mostly new and the carries will be split even more. So you are right about being nudged out by circumstances.

do you think its that close? in my mind Yeldon is better

Yeldon is definitely better, iyam. And has the higher ceiling.

I'm one of the few that point out that Hart arguably had a better Spring and A-Day against the 1st team D, while sharing carries with the de facto starter(Fowler) with Lacy out. Yeldon took all the carries for his team against the 2nd team, save for 2 carries by balding Ben Howell. I know Hart had a better OL to work with, but he was still going up against a superior D as well.
Yeldon may have more upside, but Hart is definitely an elite caliber back in his own right. Saban wouldn't have given him a 2nd chance if he wasn't talented. I think they'll be a heavy platoon in '13, save either one heavily outshining the other this year.

I think that we will see both. I know Hart just came off of injury but you dont win Florida player of the year and just be good. Hope he can return to pre injury form. I honestly think that as long as both of them can hold on to the ball they both get the starting snaps and Fowler and Lacey could get the ball later in the game.

No doubt Yeldon is good, and maybe he does have the highest ceiling but I think expectations are being a little over-inflated due to A-day. People forget that Dee was also a 5 star and he also had a very good A-day going up against the 1st team D. Neither one has played in an actual game yet, so I'll reserve judgement til I see what they do when it counts.
ETA: If Lacy is healthy, I believe he will be the clear #1 and I wouldn't be surprised to see Fowler hold onto the #2 spot.

I think the world of Yeldon as a player, and did even before A-Day...
It's hard to hype a player that hasn't proven anything, but damn he's going to be great.

I think Yeldon could be the best back in the SEC one day. After some time with Scott Cochran he is going to be unbelievable; the next coming of McFadden. Hart is very good too. But he is so small that it limits what he can do. For instance, he gets run over by pass rushers. It will effect the QB and also it will effect his durability. I dont think he is a 3 down back. I see his ceiling as that of another dimunitive florida running back, Noel Devine

IDK about that. Dee Hart looked good blocking in the spring game. On the first or second string of the game I saw Yeldon get laid out by a CB.

You're really underselling his strength just because he's not huge. What RB is gonna stand up an oncoming blitzer that's not a DB anyway? You usually chip lineman and backers, you don't try take them on mano a mano.
He isn't Corey Grant being forced into the system, he really has a powerful base.
