If he is gonna play offense, he better be able to block and receive no matter where he is gonna play. Unless it's QB or OL, and I don't see that happening.

Hasn't stopped the likes of Brad Smelley and Brent Callaway being put there.

Both played multiple positions in highschool, Smelley had experience at TE.
They also didnt come with the stipulation that they werent going to switch positions until after their second year. The more and more he talks about it, it sounds like he would never be open to it.

Hell could Brent Calloway block or catch. I bet his arse will learn if he wants to get on the field.

I started a thread on the SECRant comparing our loss to Utah in 2008 to LSU getting beat by Stony Brook. It got whacked with a quickness.

Save for Smelley's time at WR at ACA, I'm not sure how playing QB and LB for Smelley and part time LB/3rd down rusher for Calloway helped them any more at H-Back than just playing RB hinders Henry.

And how many times do those demands come to pass when they get to campus? Not often. He'll probably get a year at RB before being asked to try somewhere else, unless he's really good at it, that same ordeal hasn't set back Calloway's opportunity to start at HB, and he even took a quick vacation to the LB position too.

Where are those quotes from?

Because once they see that they are 4th on the depth chart at their position of choice, and the coaches offer them an opportunity at a position they would immediately be in the 2 deep at, the desire to play at all quickly overrides the desire to play any particular position.

Me thinks the staff has already told him, that he will be an H.
He also showed good hands in some of his camp videos.

Im thinking that the coach setting him straight statement had something to do with CNS telling him he will get a shot but they wont keep him there if it doesnt benefit him or the team.

QB no, but WR/TE sure as hell helped him out. It proved he could catch, and he also proved he could block while at ACA.

Although I expect good things from him at Hback, he has yet to play a game yet. So you cant use that as an example.

Henry has been more of a hard line about RB than I've seen in a while. He even has stated it a few time that hes never played another position, and has no plans of doing so.
If this was a big class that I would be happy about it, but considering the players that we've turned away, and the few spots we have left I just dont think it's worth it.

He is simply to athletic to turn away. You also are not figuring what was said to him this weekend on his visit by the best recruiting staff in the country. Kamara is not any more of a specific position than Henry is either.

IDK but I really would like to have Kamara in this class. Maybe its just me but besides RN he is who I want.
