Reuben Foster, five-star linebacker from Auburn High School, is on Alabama's commitment list and rated No. 1 in the state. Foster became the top prospect this spring when he transferred from Troup County High School in LaGrange, Ga. Foster is the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect behind Robert Nkemdiche, five-star defensive end from Grayson High School in Logansville, Ga.

Dee Liner, five-star defensive tackle from Muscle Shoals High School, is committed to Auburn and No. 2 on the list. The No. 3 and No. 4 prospects in the state, both Alabama commitments, are O.J. Howard, National 100 tight end from Autauga Academy in Prattville and Ardarius Stewart, National 100 wide receiver from Fultondale High School in Birmingham.

Howard is looking to take visits this summer as mentioned in an interview this week. He will attend The Opening in Oregon this summer.

Stewart is one of the premier athletes in the country who amassed a total of 51 touchdowns last season. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete could play on either side of the ball. He does not plan to take any other visits.

Grant Hill, four-star offensive guard from Huntsville High School, is 6-foot-6, 310-pounds. The Tide commitment is rated the No. 4 offensive guard in the country. He is the No. 6 prospect in Alabama right behind Florida State commitment Austin Golson, four-star offensive tackle from Prattville High School.

Alabama’s first commitment came from Bradley Bozeman, three-star offensive guard from Handley High School in Roanoke. Bozeman is a solid commitment to the Tide. He is rated the No. 12 overall prospect in the state.

Deon Johnson, three-star wide receiver from Spanish Fort High School, pulled the trigger for Alabama after the A-Day game. Johnson is an electric playmaker who scored 19 touchdowns last season. He is rated the No. 9 prospect in the state.

Jason Smith, rated a four-star wide receiver from McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, is uncommitted with an Alabama offer. Smith is one of the top athletes in the South. He is hoping for an opportunity to play quarterback on the next level. The 6-foot-1, 173-pound athlete is considering his options. He does want to play quarterback.

Marquez White, three-star cornerback from Northview High School in Dothan, Ala., will attend Alabama’s camp June 3rd. The 6-foot-1, 173-pounder is anxious to spend more time in Tuscaloosa after receiving a verbal offer this spring. Alabama has offered in-state players at camp prior to their senior season in the past including Christion Jones (2011) and Darren Lake (2012).

A couple of in-state players who plan to camp at Alabama this summer include T.J. McCollum, safety from Clay-Chalkville High School and Nate Andrews, wide receiver from Fairhope High School. McCollum has played safety for one year. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect definitely looks the part. He has a lot of schools interested, but eager to see him in camp.

Nate Andrews is one of the top receivers in the state. Alabama assistant coach Jeremy Pruitt has mentioned to Andrews the possibility of playing safety on the next level. Andrews prefers to play receiver. He has been offered by Florida State and UAB.

Several players to watch include Cameron Fraser, three-star offensive tackle from Central High School in Phenix City, Noah Armstrong, three-star offensive tackle from Lawrence County High School in Moulton and Gerald Sterling, tight end from Aliceville High School.

Fraser has only played football for a year. He is quickly becoming a hot target on the recruiting trail with offers from Arkansas, South Florida, UAB and South Alabama. Alabama is showing strong interest in the 6-foot-5, 295-pound prospect. Noah Armstrong is a 6-foot-7, 295-pound lineman who has collected offers from Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee and South Alabama. He has visited Alabama several times.

Gerald Sterling has attracted a lot of attention from Alabama. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect can play on either side of the ball. He might become the sleeper prospect much like Darren Lake a year ago.

The University of Alabama will likely sign more out-of-state prospects than in-state in the class of 2013. They are already off to a fast start in the 2014 class with offers to Bo Scarborough, from Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, Maudrecus Humphrey, cornerback from Hoover High School, Tre Williams, linebacker from St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile and Racean Thomas, running back from Oxford High School.

Link? They just offered him today is what I just read.

Wanted to pass along that Florida State offered Dothan (Ala.) Northview CB Marquez White today. FSU coaches Dameyune Craig and Mark Stoops watched him earlier this week. White plans on camping for a day at UA on June 3 and an offer could be forthcoming, for the Crimson Tide fan

Charles form BOL:

Yes, it's confirmed. I was told look for him to still visit UA as planned since he's never been to Tuscaloosa as a recruit and his relationship with Pruitt is strong. We'll have more shortly.
