Bruce Irvin hello, he is a speed demon, can he cover? No tackle a runner more than 205 lbs? No, but he'll take a damn QBs head off on a blitz

Yes, along with 30 other guys. They'll both be drafted by 3-4 teams, wait and see

Sounds like a perfect size for a 3-4 strong side DE to me.

This, plus he runs a 4.5 now, and I don't see him getting really slower than a 4.55 if he got to 310. That sounds crazy, but this guy is a beast. If you could go straight from High School to the pros in football like you could in basketball this guy would be getting even more hype than he is now.

Mingo and Sam both will be olb. Mingo has better lateral quickness and has actually played standing up. That's why he will be the 1st player taken from the SEC.

Sam will probably fall to the back half of the 1st because he won't look as fluid in the agility drills.

Mingo will probably be a better pro.

ERIC REID will BE the best though of all the players from LSU imo.

I think Reid will be a 10year starter in the pros. Has the size speed smarts and leadership that you want in a player. But, he won't be as good as Mingo. Mingo is the type of player that can guard the Jimmy Graham's and Gronks.

Eric Reid will be LSU's best pro in years, I've had a pro scout I'm friends with tell me after watching tons of Mo's film, he was the reason Mo could be aggressive and made him A LOT better, that is Chavis D mold, and FTR Mingo isn't fast enough to cover Graham and isn't physical enough to cover Gronk, RG will eat his arse alive

Can you show me a current NFL player that covered Gronk or Graham last year effectively? Instead of posting stupid shite about a college player's ability to defend NFL all-pro's, you should take a step back from your computer and realize the stupidity you're about to make public.

I don't see the point in predicting whether or not a guy like Montgomery or Clowney will stand up at the next level or continue playing with their hand in the dirt. A lot of it depends on what team drafts them. Robert Ayers, former Tennessee defensive end, was drafted by the Broncos as a 34 outside linebacker, and now that we have changed back to a 43 defense he's a defensive end.

Exactly. The fact the two guys will be drafted highly is a testament to their talent, regardless of their future position. Obviously doesn't hurt them to attend LSU and play DE.

If this is true now, how does this kid not grow into a DT once under a major college weight program. I know the kid is a beast now, but he's obviously going to grow. Who wants a 310 lb DE?

ever heard of marcel dareus? in a 3-4 the DEs need to be in the 290-300 range.

Wowww...that's a bold statement! I guess...if you believe it; I don't know too many NFL LB's and safeties that can cover either Graham or Gronk.....

A lot...probably all....of the safeties are faster than Gronk and Graham. They're just not 6'6" and can catch the ball at the zenith...

I know Mingo is a LB....but does he have the size AND speed to match up with Gronk or Graham?
