i don't get worried over sports. lol if CU starts losing to SC on a regular basis, it will likely be losing a lot period.
i don't think SC being good hurts Clemson's recruiting, a good state rivalry is a good recruiting sales pitch. I think Clemson has always recruited GA especially Atlanta area better than SC. it makes more sense to look at recuiting in terms of region rather than state.

To compete nationally you have to recruit outside of the state, being a Gamecock fan you would know nothing about this

You do know we're already kicking that arse on the trail for next year in SC, right? Slim pickings this year, but next year is different. Already the #1 player in the country, with 2 and 3 in SC on board as well. How is USCe doing on that 2018 class so far?

They got a 3 star player from Pendleton right up the road from Clemson who I'm not sure if Clemson even offered

It's a marathon not a sprint.
And Clemson is only taking about 16-18 again next year.
Ya'll seriously need to hope that everyone makes it in and nobody gets hurt or arrested for smoking weed...

You know a lot about football, so I'm sure you already know that experience is important, right? Each team gets 85 scholarship players.
So if a team only has to replace 14 players, can you figure out why? Maybe because they have a higher hit to miss ratio than average, and aren't recruiting a bunch of 2* heroes who we hope can be coached up. They are recruiting players who contribute.
Clemson is now recruiting at maintain level. USCe is recruiting at catch-up the roster to D1 football player level. I have no doubt that Muschamp will get it righted, but it won't be this year or next. 3rd or 4th in your own division won't cut it.
