Better to temper expectations and be pleasantly surprised rather than assuming you're about to hit a 30-game win streak then get suicidal from losing 3 games.

Obviously a drop off from this season, which many are arguing is greatest of all time. You can’t expect to replicate that.

But many of us that keep up with the roster understand that this team is still going to be very good, with a question mark at QB, but not the same kind of question mark that we were accustomed to. The offense is designed to make life a little easier on the QB, and Brennan played in shotgun all of HS out of a spread. He is a natural fit and can make the throws. and he’s gotten enough reps thus far that we should expect him to step in and do well.

All that said, 3 losses would be a disappointment. I could see 10-2. Anything better than that would be a pleasant surprise.

He really does not make picks. He gives position insights. And hilarious commentary. Not a homer for any team which is why I enjoy him. He is the anti-tSECRant.

No shite. They still have talent. They’re just young and inexperienced

Everyone besides Brennan that he mentioned has had non garbage time reps on a college field. Most of them a significant amount.

Yikes

And fair point. This type of YouTube is definitely about appeasing folks.

Look him up as Murf Baldwin. He writes for several different sports outlets. Formerly played safety and linebacker.

I don’t do the live stream. I watch his X and O videos. They are great.

His x's and o's are good, too, but he also caters to each team and says what people want to hear. I watched him do it all year. Even in this thread:

"He predicted Georgia to win", "No he didn't".

He's knowledgeable but his entire grift is making you guys think he's on your side.

Completely disagree. I notice that he takes his own position and does not give a damn what you think. I stumbled across him early in the season and loved how he would take both sides of the issue and then walk you through what could happen. This is so rare with the homerism of college sports. He focuses on sports in the southeast though (Georgia and Alabama). His site does not focus on any specific teams.

I mean you can disagree and that's your right but I can post dozens of examples of him talking up each team.

I can post to an example in this thread lmfao.

Never heard of the guy nor any of his opinions which are likely very wrong.

If a team is “freakishly loaded” can it ever be “gutted”?

Murf Baldwin, the guy that could have stopped LSU’s offense if he were the defensive coordinator at a good P5 school.

And I can show you that he jumps from team to team. He is not a homer. Which I find enjoyable. I don’t want an LSU sunshine pumper. I want him to find flaws in my team so I can know the game better.

The amount that is leaving as well as the coaching turnover means LSU needs to expect a dropoff. Assuming otherwise is asking to be disappointed.

After a perfect season, dropoff is almost certain.

Never know how young guys will respond. DC is a huge hire, as well.

Exactly. LSU has had a top 5 talented team every year. The difference this year was having a generational level QB. That dude is now gone.

Who fricking gives a shite? LSU won everything and yall got to see a season that 99% of fans will never see anything close to.

If I was an LSU fan I would be like frick next season and frick all news and talk about next season, let me enjoy this high for as long as I can.

Sean Payton had it right celebrating big after the Superbowl win. What is the point if you don't enjoy it?

No

The difference was an actual passing game and getting ball to the weapons we've always had.

Joe was great, yes but our system allowed him to pick the weakness and exploit it.

That system won't change
