will be surprised if it comes out any other way

OH State is probably a better team, but Penn State won head to head and is Conference Champ

hard to see the committee denying them a spot
hide and watch.

The Top4 stay the same

Should be, but won't be. Sucks it's about money and OSU traveling so well.

washington left out due to weak schedule. their top 3 wins of Colorado (with injured QB), Washington State, and Stanford don't blow you away.

it will come down to PSU vs Washington for last spot.

If this were the only reason, why wasn't Ohio State in last season? One loss to the B1G Champs, yet we weren't even being discussed.

My argument was exactly the opposite. Had Penn St. and OSU both had equal records, I put Penn State in, but they chose not to make all else equal by losing twice.

So, even with the head to head win you would choose tOSU over Penn State? Because of tOSU having 1 less loss?

Had one play been officiated correctly (4th down for tOSU .. in overtime) .. tOSU would have 2 losses and Michigan would be here.

Why not reward Michigan because of that poorly called play? Remember that if Michigan would have won they would have been in the B1G Championship game.

Point is .. there is a lot that should be discussed and it should not simply be based on record or conference championships.

tOSU, Michigan and Penn State .. what a mess..

I hate the B1G, but there is a lot more to the story besides wins and losses.

Edit to add:
1) Alabama
2) tOSU/Michigan/Penn State (only one of the three)
3) Clemson
4) Washington

Excellent post and I couldn't agree more! You really have to dig deep into the entire set of games, not just final scores

This is true and is the main issue with CCGs. Theoretically, it matches up the top two teams of each conference, but realistically it placed the 4th best B1G team into the position of a theoretical shot at the CFP if the system was only considering Conference Champs.
