Is he not the silliest thing that you have ever seen? Cam Newton needs to grow up. Pretty soon some other team will decide he is not exactly Superman and pull him apart like a wishbone, and that is the game that I want to see.

That's right. They just pick arbitrary years to suddenly start including in their Media Guide vague NC's that nobody else recognizes from decades pasts.
(Now that I've dropped that turd in the punch bowl I'll just sit back and enjoy the hilarity that is coming)
We could claim 3,000 national championships if we wanted.
The bottom line is that we have more major poll-awarded national championships than any other team in the country - to go along with Rose Bowl Championship years.
We have more bowl appearances than any other team in the country.
We have more bowl victories than any other team in the country.
We have 9 more SEC Championships than the next closest competitor.
There isn't a single team in the SEC that has a winning record against us. Let that sink in.
Who gives a piss how many national championships we claim? We're the best. Period.

The recent media frenzy about NCAA investigators asking questions about Auburn’s football program prompted the repeated chorus of “Auburn is the cheatingest bunch of cheaters in college football” from around the region. As we pointed out last year after Auburn was cleared in the Cam Newton investigation, Auburn is not a frequently punished cheater in the modern era. Auburn has not been found guilty of a major NCAA violation since 1993 – since the Eric Ramsey case at the end of the Pat Dye era.
This website [LINK ] is the NCAA Major Penalty Infractions Database. It is easily searchable and provides all the details of NCAA investigations and penalties. Since current high school seniors were born in 1995, we searched from 1995 to now, for all SEC football teams. The results are detailed below.
So if you disagree with the data below, that is fine – just know that it is fact. It is not opinion or internet rumor or “I heard on the radio” garbage. These are the real cases where the NCAA has conducted investigations and found schools guilty. You can draw your own conclusions.

Why do they call Auburn fans "Barners"?
Auburn's roots as an ag college.

Serious question: Why do they call Auburn fans "Barners"?
This cant be a serious question.
ETA: But I'll explain. Auburn: Aubarn. Sounds alike. There are farms/cow pastures in Auburn. Thus Barners. The funniest nickname ever.
Even the Barners are apparently ashamed of their background as an agricultural university, which is one of the biggest reasons for the nickname.

The stiffest penalty is forfeited or vacated games. Alabama has two football probations (2009 and 1995) that have wiped out almost 4 seasons. No other SEC team has had to do that.

Auburn fans seem to have forgotten the Pat Dye years! Your dirty laundry was shown to entire nation on 60 minutes a generation ago. You guys lost a shot at the National Title in 1993 because your 11-0 team was on probation. Every major program in the country including Notre Dame during the Holtz years has played fast and loose with the rules at one time or another.
