DVH- 30 years as HC; took 7 years to make 1st trip to Omaha.
Vitello- 6 years as HC; 2 Omaha appearances in 6 years.
I say he is ahead of schedule, and I would think he is going to win a title before he has 30 years under his belt.

Everyone thought Dan Marino would get back to the Superbowl. Winning a championship is very, very difficult. A lot of things have to break your way to do it.
