Not really. It’s being abused in like 90% of cases, but with the way these contracts are worded it’s still 100% OK and not breaking any rules. It’s absolutely pay for play.

I may be wrong….but it’s my understanding that NIL does not have any clear guidelines as to what is ok and what is not ok.

It's a bit muddy because of state laws, but there are some basic rules, most of which prevents schools from using it to recruit.
