Regardless of what anyone thinks we get to find out this Saturday.

We have plenty of defense to beat Bama. Our offense is getting better each week and we should put it all together soon. If it is this week we win.
You can say the exact same thing for either team. Both having improving offenses but it's going to be hard for either team to put it all together against these defenses.

Milroe is 1-0 vs Aggie as a starter.
Not the same team, not playing at the same place….big difference

Stating the obvious, aggy can't stop the pass and Bama can't throw the ball. Bama struggles to run the ball and aggy has great talent at DL if they can overcome poor coaching. Seems like Bama's only hope on offense is scramble plays, deep ball prayers and Durkin poor game calls. Counterpoint, aggy is aggy. No result would be surprising here.
I could see aggy beating Bama, jumping into the rankings at 15-18 just so Bama doesn't fall too far. Then losing to Tenner, beating uSC, losing to Miss, beating MSU and whoever the frick ACU is before losing to LSU, beating an overmatched bowl opponent and ramping up the "next year is our year!" talk.

I think they look better playing against bad teams, but hard to tell if they have improved.
The DL is the strength and played up to expectations while and OL has always been the weak link, and played below.
Miami blitzed 14 times and destroyed the aggy offense. The aggy Pass blocking grades (PFF) through this week are scary, particularly if you are a QB.
4 of the 5 OL starters are average at best (64.4, 60.4, 56.9, 49.6). Dewberry, the Banks wannabe, is at 52.4 and the freshman wonder kid (4* Shananan, from Austin that Texas didn't recruit) is (15.9). wuff.
The RB grades are off the charts, and not in a good way (38.2, 25.6, 15.4, 14.5).
If you can't protect your QB in the gauntlet of the SEC! SEC! SEC!, I thinks it's 'gonna be a long day.

As someone who enjoys schadenfreude at Aggy expense more often than not yes it does appear that they have improved you would have to be delusional to not realize this.

Y'all really think TAMU has improved since Miami blew them out?
Who have they beaten? Their season starts this week

It's going to be a fun week. I'm holding out judgement until after this week, but this game is going to tell us a lot about BAMA, aTm, and the West. I think it's going to be a really tight ballgame, and I believe it could go either way.

I agree with you. I think both offenses are going to struggle big time. I think the total stays under 40 points. Not sure what the O/U is.. but i’m guessing it’s above that.
I don’t think Max finishes this game.
If I am Alabama, I’m bringing the heat early and often. Knock him around a little bit and get him rattled.. then watch the wheels falls off.
If I am A&M, I run pretty much the same defense you guys ran vs Arkansas. 4 DL + Spy + lots of blitzes from all over the place. I expect Milroe to make a couple of nice plays.. maybe runs or deep balls, which is his specialty and A&M’s weakness.
Both teams need to get pressure on the QB.
And keep it coming..
I go back and forth on this game on who wins.
19-13 either way

28-24 A&M. This requires us to score TDs not FGs as happened vs Hogs and Tigers.
We kicking 3 FGs and Bama is winning. No doubt in my mind.

Yep. You don't realize how much hinges on decent pass protection until you don't have any.

Of course, they have LSU’s trash as their starting QB now……

Fair post. And 14 blitzes is a lot, and I saw a lot of corner blitzes that just blew up and the point of attack.
Should have noticed that and audibled out.
So recognizing the blitz is going to be the key.
I will say this… So far, the A&M staff has a good job with self scouting and opponent scouting reports. We’ve seen them make necessary adjustments as the season has progressed.

Matchups are everything. They matchup well. Their D front should make things tough for Bama’s run game…if Max Johnson doesn’t turn it over then they have a good chance.
…but with all that said we saw Milroe beat A&M last year at his worst with 3 turnovers. Also that run game went for 300 yards nearly last year w/ Milroe as QB.

Plenty of Austin honks on Texas websites wanted him. Texas coaches (Flood & Sark) got the guys they wanted, early (physical, big frames, not necessarily star power).
Texas signed two 5* OL the year before, and 12 OL in the last 2 years. They missed on a few targets, he wasn't one of them.

I want Bama to wear them out good before they show up here at Neyland.

I expect Fisher and Durkin to revert to form this week. Congrats on the win, Alabama.
