No they voted against starting it a year early.

No time to argue. Enjoy your night. Got a bad news phone call

No, they didn't. The proposal put forward sucked and they didn't agree to it.

Seriously, you should read about what actually went down, not the propaganda your dipshit leaders are feeding you.
The AD/admin at FSU was all over the place talking about how they opposed expansion at the time it’s not some conspiracy theory, are you suggesting they weren’t?

If true, it's only because they aren't aware/don't remember the stupid alliance vetoing the 12 team playoff for 2023. Most media outlets are running with the "FSU got screwed" debate rather than shedding light on the fact that FSU stepped in their own shite.

They voted against it, in part, because in addition to expanding the field, it would have given ESPN the rights to the playoff for the foreseeable future.

I've been fairly clear that the claim in the OP is incorrect.
Regardless, that wouldn't invalidate the point that it's bullshite that they were left out of a four team "playoff." So even if it were true (it isn't), this OP and its premise is idiotic.

Watching fans of teams who are sitting out of the playoffs this year white knight for one of the two schools who almost unilaterally tipped the vote away from having a 12 team playoff is pretty unintentionally hilarious.
Not to mention the fact that their panties are in a wad over their conference being disrespected...when four months ago the FSU trustees were making all kinds of comments about leaving that conference.

Yes, we have heard it 100 times. So what? FSU should be the #3 seed, not the #12 seed.

Just remember guys, DisplaceCuckEye is the smartest man it the room. If you don't believe it, just ask him. But only if you are ready for a circular conversation. He calls the OP bullshite but doesn't offer any explanation as to why. Just that you need to believe him and no one else.

I've done exactly that at least three times. So has at least one other person.

Who suggested that they would be the #12 seed? They would have been in the 12 team playoff, though. Now, they are not in the 4.

And very likely #3...

A distinction without a difference lol.

Probably not. More like #5. But in, regardless.

Of course there's a difference. They didn't vote against expansion. In fact, I don't think they even voted on it. The proposal was rejected and delayed because it was a trash deal for everyone but eSECpn.

You’ve provided no evidence to contradict it.

The committee was specifically tasked to take injuries into consideration and did. It’s bullet point 4 on their guidance sheet.
Everything happened as it was supposed to. If you don’t like their guidance/rules that’s fair but the guidelines are clear.

They didn't vote on it. Wanted a new proposal. Put the vote off for 9 months. Same proposal came up and then they voted against it. At that time it was too late.

The BcS likely puts them at #3. Without "caynt have no playoff without Bama pawwwwl" I see no reason the committee deviates from what they did literally every other year of the "playoff."
