They are not broke it was part of the plot to sabotage him.
Boosters stopped providing NIL

School made it hard to get transfers accepted

Media spreads misinformation

If true, Cal tool a pay cut and walked away from 30mil because he would have few resources to compete for players.

Cal leaving Kentucky had nothing to do with NIL. This is just a bullshite excuse because Kentucky was ready to move on. He took the Arkansas job before Kentucky fired him. He left Kentucky because of job security and not wanting to get publicly fired, had nothing to do with NIL.

I don't share this opinion. It isn't that the money isn't here, it's that they weren't willing to give any more of it to Cal to bring-in another class of elite recruits to lose in the first or second round of the tourney.

So you can say it isn't the "real reason", but it's the reason.

According to reports…Cal is going to UA at a reduced salary? Is Cal getting NIL money? Did Cal leave UK before he was fired? I guess the regular folks will never know what really went down.

If you read between the lines, Cal was on the verge of being fired but the AD wanted to give him one more chance. I'm sure Cal took the easy road with a friend at a different school, instead of facing possible termination.

so if theyre so rich why didnt they just fire him if he was so bad? oh yeah, its because they DONT HAVE THE MONEY.

Their NIL goal was 2.5 mil for this season and nowhere near. Sounds like kentucky is a PITA working for if he cant get 2.5 mil

Yes, Cal had to do everything by himself at Kentucky.

The scuttlebutt is that the money wasn't there because of Cal.

As I posted elsewhere, this is another ramification of NIL. Mega donors now have greater leverage on coaching changes. No NIL money is a death sentence for a college coach...and he who pays the piper calls the tune.

and how many years was left on his contract? again seems like his success was deterred by the AD and fanbase who have their delusional heads in the clouds.

Cal's success was deterred by his own hand, by distancing himself from the fans, by distancing himself from the donors, by not respecting the institution that hired him, by not honoring the AD that hired him, by not adapting to the changing game, by not adapting to NIL, and further by not acquiring individuals he could trust to hide his own coaching deficiencies.

Most schools don’t have donors like the Walton family who are willing to make the investment. With that amount of money at Arkansas disposal, it seems like the football program would have one of the top coaches and its share of elite talent. This is not a shot. I’m genuinely curious.

That sounds like a violation, you know......if there were rules anymore.

Did and again a message board. But if all u got is Grammer to complain about good on u

To be fair, you've given him a pile of ammo. Maybe enroll in an adult learning class instead of donating to Cal's NIL.

Kentucky has never had a 5 star problem.

They have a Kentucky discount.
